A Utah town has voted to rename a street called Morning Glory Road due to its sexual connotation.

The issue arose after a technology company planning to relocate to the area in Lehi City expressed concern about the innuendo in the street name.

Xactware Solutions Inc., a company that develops computer software for the insurance industry, reportedly requested a name change that would maintain its "international corporate image."

While 'Morning glory' is the name of a type of flower, the term has over the years become associated with the male erection.

According to The AP, city council members voted unanimously to rename the street Morning Vista Road.

Councilman Johnny Revill admitted after the December 11 meeting that he was unaware of the sexual connotation, saying: "That name has a negative meaning for some reason. When you use the word, there is a different meaning that can be taken from that."
