He's one of the dullest ones in there but what makes it worse is the stupid arsekissy things he does, like volunteering to do the task in the basement. He's just trying to make himself look good to the HMs & the public, like today when he totally exaggerated the whole Heidi fiasco by talking about religion. If he's this amazing nice guy then why didn't he volunteer to be up for eviction?

Anyway Ryan is one of my favourites, I think he's just a nice guy.

I don't understand the support for him to be honest. he seems like a nice guy, but he hasn't done anything worthy of winning so far at all.

...he's a really nice guy and it's not his fault he's not getting much of an edit atm..BB always decides who the 'heros and villians' are going to be...and who the supporting cast are going to be....the fact that he's deemed boring or a loser just for being nice..reflects the sort of reality show this is becoming...

any chance he see's to take the moral high ground and look good in the eyes of the viewers he takes . offering to go up for eviction. offering to do the task the heidi rant etc.
he has a plan stay low keep head down and do anything to make himself look good.

I agree with that. At least Sam isn't doing that.

Totally agree with that Ammi, it seems you can't be a nice person these days or you are classed as boring, loser etc
I think he's come across as quite a decent fella so far!

Why are people saying he should win as he's such a nice guy...why do you want someone boring to win, I don't get it? You can be entertaining and nice but all he is, is nice.

I find it sad when people think anyone who is nice is just a suck-up.
The real suck-up is Rylan who is playing to an image created by his x-factor fans making him popular on that show.
Ryan is great and I hope he goes far in the show.

Boring is boring. Plenty of boring housemates are not especially nice, like Mikey BB7 or LukeA.

I loved Mikey! He was such a nice guy. He taught me so much too. Like, he was so respectful of women whilst still being cheeky. His friendship with Glyn was epic too. I just loved Mikey, was such a gentleman

I would consider aaron from bb12 a nice, entertaining housemate as I would consider rylan being the same this year. a winner does need some form of entertainment however, I can't see ryan winning based on what we've seen of him so far. he does seem too willing to please everybody and even though it may not be fake, that's how it will be seen on this show to some.

Why would anyone watch trash tv and support the 'nice guy'
First and foremost, I don't consider Big Brother to be 'trash tv'. Despite the move to Channel 5, making the show a little more trashy than before, it still does not qualify as 'trash tv' for me. To me, Big Brother is an extremely fascinating social experiment about people of all sorts interacting with each other. Amidst those people, I like to find a male figure who I can look up to. I think Big Brother is an excellent way to learn about social psychology and it's really nice to watch 'nice people' because they can inspire you to improve yourself as a person too. On top of that watching a 'nice guy' makes me smile. Sure some drama and controversy is interesting and all but when a nice guy has a true down to earth conversation - now that's my favorite part of Big Brother.

Oh dear, Almost all the housemates mentioned in here I dislike. Calling 'Arron' & 'Mikey' (BB7) 'nice' is hilarious, they were both anything but nice. Arron was a great housemate though & did make me laugh a lot, but he was not a nice guy! Mikey just moaned the whole time & treated Glyn like **** half the time, I felt bad for Glyn, and was glad he & Imogen became even closer after Mikey left, as Mikey was just a bad friend.

I think in different periods of your life, different people tend to appeal to you. If you remember correctly though, Conor was rarely shown in the HL shows the first few weeks - that's when I liked him. Cause the only times he was shown he came across as a cool, nice and fun guy. Also, at the time of BB13, I was getting ready to leave to college and one of my best friends in high school was called Conor, so I compared the two a little too, which added to me liking Conor ok.
As for Caroline, I was on and off about her all season as she made me laugh with her accent. Becky was on and off as well because she could be really nice at times, and then jus t turned really quite nasty towards the end. Hence why ultimately Deana became my favorite.

He is my favourite, and yeah he is nice :) I also find nothing dull about him, he just hasn't had a chance to shine in the show yet, a few overbearing personalities in there at the moment, but he will have his time :) Plus with only an hours edited highlights daily, we could be missing out on a really witty guy for all we know :)

He was evicted over Susie, Imogen and Jennie because he had a really rough week. Even in his interview with Davina she said "what happened to you this week Mikey, you completely changed". I think he was really missing Gracie and that confinement gets to you. I personally don't remember him moaning about anything though and he always made me smile when watching. I also loved his friendship with Glyn so. And I've watched BB7 many times lol :)

Don't know about Liam BB8 as I didn't watch it.
Freddie became very cocky and arrogant in his last few weeks.
Ben wasn't very nice to Mario if I remember correctly.

Andrew also did nothing.
JJ was a cool guy yeah but he sort of just stuck around his friends and didn't branch out.
Dave was horrible, remember when he put poor Rachael up saying "she would be the most popular one" silly lies.
Didn't really watch BB12 so can't comment on that.
Benedict was ok, but the protein shake thing wasn't very nice, nor was shoving the sexual stuff in Caroline's face.
Adam was all about the game, why would he even go in Big Brother without ever having seen the show.
Luke A like Pete was very calculated and wanted to win. Sure I liked him cause he was Welsh but he bitched about people lots and was playing a very clever game.
As for Rodrigo, yeah he was nice but I think Mikey was nicer. Mikey was such a gentleman with a beautiful smile. He was also really down-to-earth, and you could tell winning and all that didn't matter to him that much. So yeah, theres my answer.
The only ones in my mind who would give Mikey a run for his money as for niceness are:
Glyn (BB7)
Mohamed (BB9)
Dale (BB9)
Oh and wait I forgot to add the most important part of my last post. SIAVASH really? Now let's not be silly, Siavash was THE worst BB housemate ever. Actually THE worst Reality TV show contestant ever.

I dislike a lot of the housemates I posted, I just posted people that are way nicer than Mikey.
You're answers of 'wasn't very nice to Mario.. If I remember correctly', Is the type of answer I had for Mikey but for Glyn. So it's just mega hypocritical now. Also it was the other way round, Mario wasn't very nice to Ben
& I originally wrote Mohammed, but changed my mind because he bitched quite a lot against the other side, although his side was far superior.
Im not gonna discuss this further lol MMAI, I think Mikey was a true gentleman, but I respect that everyone has different opinions

I know some of you will find it hard to understand (especially going by some of your posts) but people can be genuinely nice you know...
Ryan is a nice bloke & I don't know how you can say he is boring when we have hardly seen anything of him due to Big Brother's usual biased editing making it the 'Rylan & Speidi' show :sleep:
Out of the two that are up at least Ryan has actually shown a personality in there, Sam is just the pretty boy with a vacant expression.
Ryan is a sweetheart and by far my favourite. He could be doing loads and being very funny and witty in there, but if he doesn't get the edits, we won't see it. I think sadly he will be evicted on Friday, far too early to lose from the show yet :(
