Do you need glasses or contacts to see properly? Or do you have perfect vision or can just see well enough to not wear glasses?

I wear glasses, tried contact lenses once but one split in my eye, luckily I was in the opticians but it put me right off.

Glasses, the thought of wearing contacts makes me feel weird

I wouldn't say I've got amazing eye-sight but I don't need anything, although I'd love to wear glasses!

Wear glasses mainly but contacts when I go out. Dont feel dressed up with glasses on but too lazy to be bothered with contacts all the time.

Believe me you wouldn't...You can't even look down without them falling off your face or anything LOL. The headaches get really bad as well sometimes. :/
Luckily I just wear contacts now.

I have mental condition where one of my eyes didn't properly and fully connect to my brain or sumat idea - So anyway if i close my good eye I like can't read at all, just make out blurry shapes. With both eyes, vision is pretty perfect with just slightly blurred peripheral vision on one side. 3D doesn't work great for me.
Wear contacts, my eyesight isn't terrible but things are just a lot more clear and focused so I prefer wearing them when I go out, if I'm not really doing anything and just lounging about I won't bother or just put my glasses on if I need them

I can't see very well at all without my glasses, I'm not exactly blind, but I do struggle.

Yeah, this. I don't really need contacts at home doing nowt but I need for college in particular (a bit short sighted so I can't see the board without...).

I don't have glasses but I think I need them. I can see perfect out my right but my left eye is blurred :suspect:

I have to wear glasses all the time. I've got an astigmatism (in my left eye I think, but I'm not entirely sure), so without them everything is very blurry and I can't see for **** pretty much.
I did look into getting contacts a few weeks ago but it would've cost £200+ for a set of them. I couldn't get daily or monthly ones so I would have to have gotten the permanent ones which is why they were so expensive. I don't think my NHS thingy covered them either even though it covered my glasses idk it was weird.

My cousin was really similar, she could basically see nothing. She got laser eye surgery done, and she now has 20/20 vision

The only thing not wrong with my eyes and sight is that I'm not long or short sighted, and everythings clear and im not blind etc

I have an astigmatism in my left eye too and I found out because I'm long sighted, the chances of me getting laser eye surgery are very slim.
I'm heartbroken. It's the one thing I've said over the past few years that I want the most in life. I'm fed up of waking up every morning and not being able to see properly

..I've got an astigmatism as well Niall.. in both eyes..all the best people have them, I think they're a sign of genius or something.....
..I go for the contact lens option..yeah, they are a bit expensive though..I have bi-monthly ones...
Yeah I've an astigmatism in my left one apparently so they recommended I get monthly lenses and the left one has to be made a bit differently or something, used to think they were a nightmare at first cos it'd take ages for me to get them in but once I got used to it it was so much better having them
..one of the children at school once asked me about contact lenses and I was trying to explain to him about astigmatism....the next day his mum told me that he told her I had autism in my eyes.....

Y'see I would get that done, but I don't think it's covered by the NHS.

I would do, but I'd rather use all the money that goes on them to get a set of deisgner frames or something. I really want some Ray Ban glasses frames myself.

Got a pair of Bench glasses quite a while ago...they're pretty much as good as Ray Ban, only they cost £79. :(

Laser surgery seems a good option, but I was told by someone that it needs doing every few years. Is that true?

Have to wear glasses all the time, have done since I was 8(1'm 22 now)
I have that fuzzy but manageable short sightedness. Despise glasses - they really don't suit me - so I alternate between wanting to wear my contacts all the time for super duper HD vision and not wanting to wear them at all because they don't go well with the dry eye that accompanies caning a spliff.
I actually wish glasses did suit me because they're badass on the face of certain people [step up, Karl].
