Ryan's comment "So you do kiss" and "Oh, I was just ****ting you".
Was it really the best time for wind up jokes? completely inappropriate and insensitive. Of course Speidi were not going to find that funny. I don't blame them for acting defensively.
Razor's reaction really disappointed me as well. Thought he was a fairly level-headed guy before that :conf:
And I'm in no way a Speidi fan, I'm a BB fan and I actually disliked them up until recently. :xyxwave:

Yeah he was just really trying to get a cheap laugh at their expense, and they picked up on that, I don't blame them for reacting as they did

Very strange guy overall tbh.

I thought it was extremely disrespectful to make a joke at Speidi's expense at that moment. Whether they choose to show intimacy in front of the cameras or not isn't Ryan's business. It seems a married couple would be damned if they do and damned if they don't. I was really disappointed that Razor chose to defend Ryan and become so antagonistic towards Spencer. Calling Spencer a bully because he didn't find an insult funny and charging him like a bull in heat was digusting. Who was the REAL bully on tonight's show, throwing his weight around and laughing that Spencer **** himself?

Yep, I agree with everything posted in this thread. When he said it, I never picked up on the fact that he was trying to be funny either, what a strange thing to say and what a really mis timed "joke" as well.

I really liked him on launch night but there's something very off about him
I think it was funny, Speidi are quick enough to be nasty to everyone else and can't take it back.

At that moment everyone was against them & they just had a big argument, and then Ryan asks that in such a serious voice to just taunt them. So rude, Ryan is more nasty than Rylan. He also had little digs at Sam constantly when they were up together.

Totally agree they can dish it but can't take it - they aren't even prepared to listen to anyone else's opinion or even admit they could be wrong.

That's the whole point of a argument... sorry that they have the balls to defend themselves....

Exactly. He was playing to the crowd (hm's) by taking the piss out of Speidi in a desperate attempt to fit into the bigger group.
Speidi's hatred towards Ryan is way ott, he has done to nothing wrong to them.
The things they were saying about him in the basement were really nasty, saying he was worthless, he was nothing etc when he was sweeping the floor and also trying to belittle him by mocking his accent to his face that's what I would call rude and that's what Razor saw and stepped in.

They just antagonised the situation they started. It is one thing defending yourself, but another winding people up in the process. And that is not the whole point to an argument at all. Not in my book anyway.

He was obviously trying to belittle them and their marriage, he wasn't joking or trying to lighten the mood.
He wanted to be part of the action.

Seems to me that ryan was just astounded that even though speidi have totally disrespected everyone else from day one.
Contributed almost nothing or ruined every task set, they are still treated and worse still expect to be treated like royalty?
I have to say though i'm sure he is annoyed, I think he was hoping to form an alliance with them against the British housemates. During the kissing task he was the most vocal in their defence.

Lets be serious here. When they went down to the basement they very much liked all their housemates. The only stuff they have said against them has been in retaliation to what's been said about them since they left. Why should they brush off Ryan's comments when they were clearly made to provoke a reaction out of them?
If you were in their situation would you laugh it off? I don't think you would :nono:

I think they have handled themselves with aplomb since being nominated by every single housemate and since having to watch each and every one of them slag them off at every opportunity.

They were rude & bad mannered from the start which deservedly got them nominated.
There was a couple of comments which i thought was wrong, namely from Claire but the rest of the housemates slagged them off because of their rudeness & ignorant behavior.

Completely agree, anytime would've been poor to comment on it and painfully unfunny anytime too imo, but as you say extremely poor timing. Razor then having the nerve to accuse them of bullying Ryan.
At least some true colours were shown though, always been one of my favourite things about BB seeing a few masks slip, Great episode.:D

@ Mrluvaluva & Ellen
I'm fully aware that they were fairly rude when they first came in. However they had made their apologies for this and since then had been getting on well with the housemates (particularly after the shopping task). The point here is that since then, they realized that the housemates were actually being false with them. The vast majority of comments made about them were quite personal.
Look how Rylan reacted after hearing one comment from them about him? Imagine how they must have felt after 2 days of watching people do that to them?
To bring this back on topic, my point here is that Ryan was out of order by trying to provoke the situation further (REGARDLESS of what has happened in the past) and Razor's reaction was disgraceful. Say what you want about Speidi but they have not bullied anyone or been aggressive towards them.

I do not condone Razor's behaviour. Nor have I said Heidi and Spencer have been aggressive in any shape or form. I just found them particularly rude and obnoxious from the offset. It's all a bit tit for tat with them. We like you, but woe betide you if you say anything about us. It's all been orchestrated by the producers for effect ultimately, and they got what they wanted out of it.

I hear you. I know they can be a bit hypocritical, but in that particular situation I thought they were in the right. At the end of they day they are human beings and I felt as though Ryan was trying to humiliate them. It was all very underhand. I'm not supporting Speidi's actions in any way up to this point but I'm trying to be as objective as possible.

Oh FGS why do people keep saying this. They're not two faced at all. They only spoke about particular housemates in response their bitching. And not only that, they were spreading lies about Speidi too and getting personal like Claire. Plus it was more or less the whole house against thm bitching about them all day long. They only stood up for themselves like any person would and when that fat odious pie tried to launch himself at them they were understandably concerned for their safety.

Yep - it was weird and unnecessary as Spencer had just explained why they haven't been smooching and all over each other in the house. It was in respect of their other housemates.

Yeah, I think you're right there. Remember when he was up last time and speaking to BB he said that being from Australia he wasn't sure of the banter? Maybe this was his attempt to fit in with them? His banter effort flopped big time for me anyway
