TiBB User Contest #2 Nomination Process

Kudos to Sol for suggesting it. Okay, we'll run it again and see how it goes. Now I'm not too familiar with a lot of the new users, so what I've decided is that we'll have a nomination process. Users get 5 nominations per day (which they post in this topic). You can only nominate a person once in your five nominations, but you may vote for that person every day. It takes 3 nominations to get in, there are at least 64 spots available though I think we could easily make 128. Now as I'm going on holiday, I'd appreciate it if someone kept the tallies for me while I'm away (from the 27/28th of July to 4th/5th of August). It won't actually start until after Sol's Big Brother, but I think it'll be good this time around.

Once I have a list of names, they'll be sorted into order of post count, and that's how the matches will be decided. Therefore, by this process, if Big Sister was chosen then she'd be up against the person with the lowest post count (who qualified), as she is currently top poster.

You can nominate users who no longer come onto TiBB as well!

Also, I'd like to take part so if you do want to nominate me then you can do so. Anyways, good luck on getting in and maybe you'll be the next winner!

It works on the same principle as Chrizzle's nominations; a match is posted up and people vote for whoever they like best, the person with the most votes wins, and goes through to the next round. Eventually we get to Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, the Final and then we get a winner. Last time the winner was Big Sister.

Well Chrizzle, if you look at the first page I've written an explanation, and also I've provided a link in one of my posts to the previous competition. You can see how it works in practice via that link. Basically, every day you can nominate five users. People need 3 nominations to be entered in the competition. All the people who have - IN # (and then a number, though that number is just for my reference) are now in the competition so voting for them is pointless. You can vote for older members too, though I'll not include banned members as it'll be rather pointless. =)

Alright. An explanation of how I sorted the list. Firstly, I organised the 64 competitors into order of post count. BigSister therefore was 1st and Slezer was 64th. The top 8 posters were put into "Group 1" because they had the most posts, Group 2 had the next top 8 posts and so on. Then, once sorted into these groups, users were sorted amongst their groups into order of qualifying. Therefore; group 1 which contains BigSister, Mike, Scooby, Hooly_One, BB-Rocks, CrazyGazza, Amy and Red Moon; was sorted so that Mike who was 5th through was first in the group and Hooly_One who was 46th was last.
