Where's Rob when you need him?
Anyway yeah, from what I've been reading there's low pressure in the Atlantic that'll push into the cold air across the UK on Friday and on the leading edge it'll turn to snow, the issue is just whereabouts it falls.

According to The Sun, or any other tabloid for that matter, a northeasterly wind is an 'arctic blast', 1cm of snow makes conditions 'treacherous' and temperatures don't just fall, they 'plummet'.
