When people talk to you about certain topics that you know nothing about what do you do?

For me its cars, when colleagues talk to me about their cars and what car they would like i just blag it, agree with them and move on.

What about you? Football? Politics?

Football's the main one. There's always the awkward moment when I'm asked what team I support that I have to reply with 'I don't like football'.

It's one of the most irritating commonly used questions.

Anything to do with sport. I find sports boring and I know nothing about it so when someone tries to talk to me about it I have nothing to say.

Politics and History

This. :idc:

I just couldn't care less for the names of the five Bennet sisters in Pride and Prejudice, or the 1066 Battle of Hastings.

It's just pointless.

Beyond cool.

Not wanting a knowledge in literature and history is fine ... dismissing it as pointless is absurd.

Geography and Chemistry.

I almost typed "Science" but I realised that would be pretty stupid for such a large amount. Biology and Physics fascinate me but Chemistry is painfully dull to me.

Outside of school subjects, easily football.

I know next to nothing about art. I know a couple of the most famous paintings I suppose and the names of a few artists, but I can't tell you about periods or styles or favourites of mine

I agree with whoever said 'cars', but I never really encounter people who talk about them.

With my friends they'll occasionally bring up Lord of the Rings and I'll just go blank because the franchise doesn't interest me at all.

Fair enough. Maybe not pointless, fine. But it's incredibly boring. (For me anyway.) And that "pointless" bit wasn't going to apply to the vast majority. Just me. Though I probably should've worded myself better but w/e.
