Benji, good question and not one to answer easy. I guess after 20 or 30 more posts from pro Speidi supporters you will be better positioned to answer that question yourself. I have found that the same people that year after year support these types of Hm,s.

Its taken me a while but they seem to be split into 2 catagories......those that love the conflict they are creating and then there are the others that just love to champion **** stirrers and love to argue on this forum.

You will see, it wont take long till your quite valid post is reduced to a slagging match between 2 camps. Good luck.

I can assure you that me and Speidi share absolutely no similarities at all :joker: I like them because I find them entertaining unlike the rest of the dull housemates.

Because they have embraced the game show and are playing it and therefore make the show interesting. All the housemates are there to entertain us not sit around doing nothing. They are also quite astute about it and keep telling the audience what they are doing - unlike most of the others who aren't being honest - as Paula said they are all playing a game in there - at least Speidi admit it!

I go down the list of housemates and they all rate a 10 on the boring scale, except Rylan who rates a 10 on the predictable scale.

Speidi are not predictable, and even when they are lying in bed moaning, its way more entertaining than watching Razor snore or Claire salivate over food.

I think a LOT of their "fans" are deeply embarresed about supporting and bigging them up even before they joined the house, they told us how these 2 were going to be straight talking ,were going to kick ass, would not take any rubbish from anyone ,and what have they done ? NOTHING ,anything they have said about anyone has been behind their backs ,how many times in basement and diary room have they said "We are not going to talk to any of them " only for them to walk in the door and be all over the hm8s like a rash ,yes the fans have been let down ,but I think its hilarious :joker::joker:

In other words, is it the solidarity against speidi that makes the rest come across as boring (the enemy of your enemy is your friend)?

If they didn't have to present a united front against them, lest they be singled out as a speidi sympathizer (like, say, Lacey or Sam), wouldn't they instead be turning on each other - Razor for his snoring, Rylan for his singing, the rest for the idiosyncrasies they must all have, but we never see because it's all about the speidi and Rylan show?

Exactly. This whole cast is very boring as it is, but Speidi ruined any chance of fissures forming. Everyone has a common enemy and wastes their nominations on them, and then someone else at the bottom of the totem pole (Lacey, Sam, Paula, or Ryan.) Instead of having a chance for the clique to turn on each other, we have to stick with this drawn out "us vs. them" mentality that's long run its course. Their presence has actively ruined any other storylines from developing and made this the worst CBB... ever? Certainly one of the worst.

The thing BB did wrong was to show the HM,s comments to Speidi and not the Speidi,s comments to the house. This killed it for me as the HM,s coming out have not seen the true Speidi and that is not fair, it favoured Speidi and gave them a storyline they had no reprisals to.

you can't blame the lack of interesting things happening (the other hg's) on the one interesting thing (speidi). well i guess you can but it doesnt make sense. if the others were doing something interesting im sure bb would show it. and if speidi is so boring and sleeping all the time how are they suppressing the others?
