Think he has TOWIE in his sights next

He's watched every single BB according to him, he was well aware it was never going to happen. It was seriously a cringe worthy scene.

I don't think he is fake and is doing his absolute best to just be himself in the house. I like him anyway but I also do believe that just being in the house does alter, sometimes in a big way, but generally in some way how you would normally act.

If he does ever really wish to be seen as fake though, then all he needs to do is follow the perfect example of being that from Spencer and Heidi,Spencer particularly.

Have to admit, Rylan seems a limelight-hogging idiot, and I'd probably find him less tolerable than Snidey in close proximity over a prolonged period. Most of his scenes are quite forced.

I don't see it as a joke, I would never dream of taking someone elses post and amending what they have said thereby giving a false interpetration of their words.
I think you will find it is against the rules too, however we can see what a moderator thinks of it and as to who is right if you wish it to go that far.

Hey, it's a forum, as people keep pointing out, anyone can comment on anything or anyone.

And I have not one problem with anyone altering my post if they want to make a joke, as that's all it is, your original post is intact, for everybody to see, mine was just meant as a bit of fun, shrug it off and move on, or take the piss back it's all good.

I've never reported anything before but I have asked you decently to remove the post, you clearly are not going to do so and in answer to your point, it is indeed a forum where people make their own comments.
Other members should not alter the words said by members by doctoring their posts and then quoting them as if that has been said.

You've been a member long enough to know that without me saying so, however you leave me no choice.Let's see what a mod says.

Do what you have to do, I do not cover up what I have done, or said by deleting posts, as I said your original post is there for everyone to see.

But if a mod tells me to remove it, or feels the need to remove it themselves then so be it, but until then it is there.

It gets on my nerves that people call Rylan fake and his camp act is all for show. When I met Rylan at a Portsmouth club night he was exactly as you see him on the TV. Flamboyant and outrageous with his wit. Maybe he does have future plans for other TV shows but he is a cool person with a good heart.

Rylan... Rylan what to make of you, I think Speidi hit the nail on the head when they said he got lucky with fame and is tripping with it. He fails to grasp the single most important fact in a reality TV programme.... It's not real so stop getting so bloody upset that these terrible Americans do not want to be your friend. Get over it for gods sake you are starting to sound like a stuck record.... Rylan mercifully clear of the ravages of intellect...!!!!

By which I mean, if he is playing up to the cameras, as has been suggested quite a lot, is that necessarily fake?

I've met people like Rylan who are constantly 'on' and it's just how they are, so I would imagine that it would be a natural extension of his personality when in front of cameras to include them in his everyday 'life as performance'.

And let the slaughter begin..!

He's incredibly fake, he's constantly trying to set up 'moments' and it's sad how he follows Speidi around to try to bait them into an argument just so he can look like the good guy. Speidi has revealed him for what he truly is by simply giving him enough rope to hang himself with.

What? :conf: people amend each other's posts all the time on this forum and say things like 'that's better' once they've done so. I know it's been done a few times,it doesn't make it right,I bet you cant believe it's been pulled up,probably so used to getting away with anything you want, but it has,IMO,it is wrong,no excuses,Joey was not happy with it and quite rightly so and yes i have seen some done in jest, but some are not.

What :conf: I don't do it that often, it's not a daily occurrence. I doubt it's even a series occurrence on my part actually.

But it's done by many on here and it's been done to me, I just smile, edit their post back, we exchange a few quotes like that and we move on, it's harmless fun, not 'fraud'...I mean...what? :conf:

chuff me dizzy
22-01-2013, 03:20 PM
Why? What is the real harm? :conf:

I have not changed the original post, a quotation is not an original, people amend them just by taking a specific part out, highlighting, adding words.

It wasnt YOU doing it i was talking about, i didnt know you had done it, but whoever has messed with what someone posted is wrong ,and needs stopping

Sorry but why have you accused me of misquoting anyone when it wasn't even me in the first place? :conf:

In fact, I never even saw the post get edited, just saw the complaints about it in here and thought I'd defend whoever did it (who I believe was MadDoctor). Why are you saying that it was me and I 'haven't apologised'? :conf:

So we're now comparing a bank robbery to editing a few words of someone's post in jest when quoting their opinion on a Big Brother forum? I'm not taking the piss here, are you seriously comparing the two? :conf:

I didn't say it was a daily occurance Jack, but sometimes what you think is a bit of fun isn't to other members, that is all,and maybe it's just me,I still think it is wrong, but there you go.

You said 'probably so used to getting away with anything you want' as if this was something I do all the time and an issue more often than not related to me. And I get that but really...it's changing a couple of words of someone's post on a Big Brother forum...not a heinous crime...

In fact, it's pretty much the same as doing this:

Speidi have made this series

RandomPoster replies with:

I think you'll find that actually they've ruined this series.

What's the difference between a poster quoting someone and giving their opinion below the post, and quoting someone's post and editing it in order to give their opinion in jest? I mean really, what is the difference?

MaDdOctoR
22-01-2013, 03:30 PM
maybe so and people need to be a bit more thoughtful of others.

I treat everyone the same, I don't know any of you personally, so I don't know what will/won't offend you, I don't go out of my way to offend anyone, and to be honest I'm offended that this has been seen as offensive.

Did I swear? No
Did I call him names? No
Did I change his post to say something bad about another forum member? No

Did I change his post to say that he liked Speidi? Hell yes it was a joke

Unfortunately it seems that the post has been deleted, so anyone who is complaining now doesn't know what was said, and cannot make their own judgements on this.

If it was still there you would see there was no need for any of this bs

I don't think he is fake and is doing his absolute best to just be himself in the house. I like him anyway but I also do believe that just being in the house does alter, sometimes in a big way, but generally in some way how you would normally act.

If he does ever really wish to be seen as fake though, then all he needs to do is follow the perfect example of being that from Spencer and Heidi,Spencer particularly.

Well my apologies for disagreeing but for me personally I was annoyed, I did ask politely for the post that was amended to be removed, they would not do so, I then got it removed by asking someone else pf authority to do so privately.

I am sorry you Niamh see no wrong in it, however,I make my comments and other people make theirs, why should any member need to take another members post and change the format of it so that it reads opposite to what the original comment was.

To say someone else has said something they haven't wothout that persons permission,is completely wrong in my opinion, had the MadDoctor quoted my part of the post then made his own comment afterwards the way he altered my wording that would have been fine.

It is actually worrying to me that this can happen on here and not be wrong,I will ensure I am very careful what I say in the future and I am really sorry Niamh but for the first time ever since I joined here I do not agree with you.

I expressed my disapproval of the doctoring of my post, I asked for him to remove it,he refused.
There is though a rule as to respecting other members I think on here and his refusal to remove it after I asked was hardly showing any respect to me at all.
I then had to contend with StupidHoe sticking their oar in too and now I see Jack has joined the fray too.

I don't like reporting things,I don't like getting people into bother, I bother no one, but hey, fair enough, I will just ensure I will be very careful as to what I post in future on this forum and I ask on this post now that people please leave my comments as I make them, make your own by all means but I want credited to my name, my words only and not someone elses. Thank you.

Since it seems it is okay on here for other members to amend others posts and words to suit them then maybe I am part of the wrong forum.

I am genuinely interested here, forget the petty arguing, I am honestly intrigued - why is it so important to you? I'd understand if someone had plagiarised an essay or a piece of writing you'd created but a post about an ex-X Factor contestant on a Big Brother forum being misquoted in jest even though the original post is still there for everyone to see? Is it really that important? Nothing's going to come of it, your name isn't going to be 'tarnished' because of it. I am honestly interested as to why something which is so common on this forum, something I assumed everybody had seen and knew about, and something so trivial would bother you so much?

Maybe if you explained a bit this'd be less confusing for those on the opposite side of the fence, because I've never really seen it any other way.

Jack my last comment as to this on this thread is simple I would like as I pointed out in bold on my post above, that my posts credited to my name, have my words and no one elses.
Not a lot to understand really, I am a person who believes in saying what I mean and mean what I say, simple as that, no matter the outlet or reason for saying anything.
My words no one elses,I also wanted no argument, I asked respectfully for the post to be removed, they would not do so, I then got it removed.
In fact you I did not even re-ignite this issue today at all on this thread yet I have had a put down by a mod in this thread, not to me in private,so I have simply responded defending my annoyance, disapproval and position as to the matter.
Once the post had been removed I said no more until now.
I am just really grateful for Josy's comment actually.

Anyway FireTwilight, what I like about Rylan is that in fact he is only saying what all the others are thinking and would like to say, that is another reason I like him and don't think he is being fake.
