OK...who are the real Speidi (s)? I think when theyre talking in the diary room it's 90 percent act. Over the top "we hate everyone" etc.. because this is what they think the public (and producers) want. When theyre talking to the other housemates they can be real at times and other times revert back to the act when challenged

So they came in the house and were picked to stay in the basement which confirmed their us against them feelings. Then when they found out the house hated them they played it up even more. But for a couple days things mellowed out and they got along with the house. Almost bonded...then the blogger task and we know what happened then.

Spencer has said it many times it is not real. From reading these forums I can now understand how people playing villians on TV get attacked in real life:bawling:

yeah i think a lot of it is an act but sometimes they are real as well - especially when theyre drunk - (you cant keep up the act 24/7) i think theyve brought a lot of entertainment though. i think if the season started out differently we mightve seen a different speidi but after the basement task the dye was set

I think most of it is probably a front to protect themselves

I had thought that from the start with them, that's why I don't find them dislikeable, more vulnerable if anything is what I see. I think they go into such shows with a mindset of play it as the gameshow that it is, over exaggerate feelings and stuff if need be, and just play the game and survive the shows as long as possible. I don't like to use the word much, but I think they just treat some of it as Pantomine, and probably see themselves a bit as the Pantomine villians if that makes sense, it helps as a guard against their feelings.
