A train has derailed and caught fire on a bridge in Manchester city centre.

It happened on Windsor Bridge, close to Salford Crescent.

Network Rail has confirmed that it was not a passenger train, and said the incident will disrupt rail services.

Luckily its a freight train, apparently no one has been hurt, thank goodness.

I saw the words "train" and "Manchester" and to be honest, I was expecting a steam train.............

We are quite modern here now you know (even though we have trams). And we are getting some kind of oyster card system for public transport in the next year or two. :hmph:
