TiBB's The Amazing Race [Applications open/Starts end March]

The race is coming...

Based loosely on the reality TV show, it's coming to TiBB! Those are not familiar with the concpet; Ten teams of two will compete in various challenges/missions and race against each other to finish them. After each challenge the slowest two teams to have completed them will be put up for elimination and the other teams will have to decide which one to eliminate. This will happen until the final where the last three teams will have big race to finish and claim the crown.

Challenges will vary and there will be hindrances and help along the way as you race to be the last team standing.

This game will be will require a high level of activity, so if you come on once a day for ten minutes then please DO NOT apply.

The game will start around mid March (date to be confirmed).

The Amazing Race is a TV show, I'm guessing that Ben is going to be running a forum game based on it. It's a race of Teams of two people all around the world, completing different tasks and stuff like that

I wish there was a game that you had to participate once a week. I want to participate in forum games, but i'm not around all the time, so i can't. Someone should come up with a forum game that only requires participation once a week, it would be awesome.

I feel very left out. *cries*

Sorry to do this, but I am postponing this for a while. Two reasons, firts I have just finished a game and need a break and two because I seriously need to consider who to place in the game, after seeing a very non-active player win Survivor has made me want to try and ensure that doesn't happen with this game.

This may sound bitter, but it isn't, but there is nothing worse than investing all your time and effort planning a great game for the end to be a let down.

It's okay for games like BB, but strategy games require actual skill and input, so it's disappointing when people forget that.

Okay, I have decided to still run this, but I am changing the format, just because I truly don't want this to just be a popularity based game, that is what TiBB BB and Elimination are for. I'm taking away team votes, instead the last two teams to complete a race will then compete in a stand-off challenge with the losing team being eliminated.

I still have to postpone this as I need to make new challenges up for the stand-offs.

Applications will still be open and you still need to apply in pairs to be in the game. For those that have already applied it will only be delayed by a week, so the end of March is when it will start.
