To be fair they were never going to beat Rylan but they did so well to get to the final 2 as two americans who are not well known at all over here, against the likes of Razor and Kathy Beale

Yes, because a few hundred thousand people seeing them tweet their fellow housemates nice things is really going to make papers and networks any more interested in them than they are already. Talk about clutching at straws. And I'd imagine if they're going to get a UK based reality show, then in that said reality show, they'd also be the villainous characters they are in every other reality TV show they enter...so being nice doesn't really fit into that equation.

I really can't begin to comprehend how this is so difficult for some to get, it's actually baffling. It was an act. They are reality TV stars and understand the need for conflict, drama and talking points in reality TV shows, hence why they played up to the characters they are well known for and did just that, actually earning their fee. It's a persona, they're famous for being scripted villains in a reality TV show. They've gone on a reality TV show and...you guessed it...played the villains again. Don't you see the correlation?

This is all more than can be said for the rest of the housemates who did absolutely piss all and who would've given us nothing to talk about had Speidi not been in this series. What real Big Brother fans you all are, eh...

It is baseless because I provided you with valid points as to why they are not arseholes and you chose to bypass them. If you cannot counter-argue against points posed to you, then I'm afraid any point you did have is rendered void.

Despite the fact I've presented you with perfectly valid reasons as to why they're not arseholes and that in fact it is all just an act? It's all very well and good wheeling out the cliched 'I AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINION GOD DAMMIT' but that's not really addressing any reasoned arguments people present to you.

They are actors. Characters. Personas. The Hills was scripted, they are known for being scripted villains. That does not make them arseholes because they are playing up a role that has made them famous. Why if it was making you money would you drop the act? The answer - you wouldn't.

I'm not denying that they played up to the cameras inside the house & they were clearly at times 'hamming it up' but that doesn't mean they are completely different in the real world. From things I have read Spencer in particular seems to be an arsehole. I don't know them personally, neither do you, so we can only make assumptions as to what they are really like...

I agree, spencer must be an amazing actor, he is a crank in every single thing I have seen the guy in.....He should have a day off haha!

But he is a proper actor. People in 'The Hills' were real people just given set up situations & scripts... Much like TOWIE... I wonder then if Amy Childs is really a genius...

And with the Speidi lovers originally us 'haters' were told we didn't 'get' Speidi because they are entertaining, then when I said they were entertaining in that they make good TV, but that doesn't mean they are nice people I'm told I still don't 'get it' as they are apparently lovely people really :joker:

'The Hills' was scripted, but none of them were actors, they were real people. They were acting out certain situations, but not acting out completely different personalities... Spencer was on the show because he IS a total nutjob, loose cannon arsehole. He's had anger management therapy for example, that should really tell you what the guy is like in real life & a nice person does not jump to my mind when I think about him...
