does a good package exist where you can simply speak and the software copies down your words on a screen? i know there were a few ropey ones years ago...but whats the latest? is there a software which allows one to write a whole novel quickly simply by speaking and not typing at all?

Theres one called dragon naturally speaking, great for dyslexics :)

Yeah my Dad has this I think. I'm not too sure how good it actually is though.

If you have a mac, you can just press the fn key twice, that works really well for me
