richard was great,....he appeared in 122 different tv shows/movies, including working with one of his heroes, robert deniro, he did at least 16 major play productions across the west end and new york and umpteen talk shows etc ....

He reminded me of his good life co star paul eddington who was also great, in that they were both true english gents, but also in the way they made it look so easy. I think thats why performers such as these get under-rated, theyre so talented and so natural they make it look easy and the relationships between them and others are so warm genuine and affectionate...a bit like the legendary jack lemmon and walter mattau...george burns characters....more importantly though he seemed like the nicest person.

The great penelope keith said whenever she thought of him shed smile, she will remmeber him as true gentleman in all the senses of the word selfless and generous, thats a remarkable gift"

Rip to a national treasure and massive respect to a life brilliantly well lived..
