And yet people go on about all the CBB's as if they're the best thing since sliced bread and that the civilian series are 'boring' :bored:

Pisses me right off, they don't know what they're missing.

Horrible just horrible. That's the attitude that encourages C5 to sh*t out CBB after CBB.

BB13 is seriously up there in my Top 5 series of all time - yet most people haven't even watched it.

Vom.

Conor didn't actually even do anything bar make a few threats, okay he caused controversy, but I couldn't name anything else he did, he was essentially a vile, bullying bore.

Lydia was robbed tho.

I'm not surprised to be honest, the moronic public booted out some of the better housemates really early. Lydia being evicted so early was a travesty and Conor was nothing but a thug and he his whole family are disgusting, vile oxygen theifs. The way they encouraged his fans to racially bully Deana on twitter throughout the series was repulsive.

I don't find it upsetting at all. The producers deserve it for making Conor their golden boy along with many other atrocious decisions they made that series. Totally understand why people were switching off midway through it, the entertaining housemates were evicted week after week and it started to become uncomfortable to watch.

it was amazing bar the epic fail that was Conor winning 50k

I think the problem is that most can't really be bothered with a daily tv series like this. It runs for like 13 weeks, everyday of the week. Its a monstrous amount of television.

BB13 > BB12 but BB12, minus Jay, had a more likeable cast. If it wasn't for the outsiders I'd have hated most of BB13's.

It did? They were all shallow pricks from what I can remember.

Big Brother only runs for 9 weeks if it's lucky now? It's cut down to make sure precious CBB can have a good little run.

The meaning of the word, underrated.

That word just about sums up BB's story, if it were a person, it's grave stone would read 'misunderstood'.

At least it was up slightly on BB12 I suppose and for a nightly show it's still pretty damn good for C5, they're probably paying no less for Neighbours.

Oh. I thought it was 13 weeks for some reason.

Even so, it's still a ridiculous amount of TV to watch. I certainly can't stomach it anymore. That's why I can understand people preferring CBB, it's just so much shorter.

Why do people keep slagging off CBB, it's the only thing that makes BB financially viable for C5

They can't even ******ing afford fireworks anymore on the finale night because they spend their entire budget on Celebrities, twice a year. So it's clearly doing them more harm than good.

The editing/production staff cannot help the ratings either, I felt like turning off in BB12 with all of the Marcus cheesy voiceovers and ****ty graphics.

CBB8 and BB12 seem like a blur for me, idk I loved them both - don't get me wrong, but they didn't even seem like Big Brother, so thinking back on them is strange. Need to rewatch BB12 though I think.

Big Brother 12/CBB8 was a mixture of the UK Top 40 and Big Brother.

This. It is/was a blur. It all happened together - Unlike BB13/CBB10 where there was a day in between. CBB8/BB12's run up was basically the same thing so that didn't help.

Yeah I agree, I think that first summer was them sort of bedding in and getting used to a new channel, look etc. And then last year was the turning point and I think the new era has begun now, the first two series were very tame in comparison and just blur into this bubble that I can't really remember, it's strange cause every other series (be it on C4 or C5) I can remember as having its own identity in my head, but CBB8 and BB12 I struggle to differentiate from the rest.

It's also extremely weird to think back on and remember the first episode of Bit On The Side, with those weird wooden audience members with screens on so that people could Skype in and talk, that spunking dog (which I loved) and week-long panel members like Pete Burns and how we didn't really know what kind of show it'd be but now it's got its own identity, running jokes etc and is completely different from how Big Mouth and Little Brother used to be.

Weird how things have changed :p

Also yes, and remember the whole Live Feed brigade at the first week of CBB8? I was looking back on some videos from that series earlier, and every comment was like 'BRING BACK LIVE FEED' and now - their videos hardly get any comments at all.

Not true. The celebrities are paid for by C5, not the show and the show's budget is whatever portion Endemol decide of the money C5 are paying them to have it (around £40m per year). The lack of fireworks is probably to keep local residents happy.

Can't stomach it as in don't watch any of it, or can't stomach it as it only watch some of it? If the former I find it odd that someone wouldn't start watching a show because it goes on too long, just miss a few episodes here and there?

It got 1.6 million in the end! Big confusion with the final average for some reason.
