I think people lost interest, that's why people started missing deadlines.

Not that interest was lost, just that there isn't much point in putting the effort in once you're too far away from first place. For our team anyway.

Should be some sort of Head to Head Format next time, where instead of a maximum of 40 points being earned each round you just 3 points if you win and 1 point if you draw a head to head against another team

for example -

Round 1 - Sport

MTV's Jusy and the Happy Turtles v Team 5MB
The Weaveologist Collective v Clitorati
Callidus v Team Situation
The Americanos v Team Buy Glassheart on iTunes
Team Jenn's Kitties v Team Sparta

and obviously you all go against each other once so there would need to be 9 Rounds but you could cut the Questions in each round down to 25 or 30

Don't think you'd have teams racing away with it that way

If I were to do another (or if someone else takes the baton), can we split the MTV team pls

would be nice for someone else to win :idc:

no, its not our fault we're amazing. Maybe others should try to form a superteam such as ours :hmph:

That's kind of what I meant. It was a two horse race from the 2nd round so people began sort of giving up.

I would suggest everybody who wants to take part signs up and once enough people are on board the host randomly allocates teams.

Would balance the playing field a lot.

That's not how a pub quiz works. :idc:

I like the head to head idea

The MTV team might be a bit different next time anyway if Marc does the quiz, and I didn't contribute at all really until the last round so I'm happy to not do it next time or be replaced

Nice suggestion but it wouldn't work.

Could you imagine people who don't like each other being on the same team? More hassle then it's worth.

But mixing up the teams would make it more interesting!
