We're Comfortable but not rich like my parents can afford to send me on school/college holidays and we go on holidays, and we get gadgets and new stuff but we can't just splash out on something

Use to be pretty well off but obviously because off Prices going up on everything rapidly it makes you feel poor even though i'm on a pretty good income, Once i've helped pay for Bills and Food that's a massive chunk gone already

Not poor, not rich. I have enough money to get what I want.

I didn't make it clear haha, what i mean is that everything needs to be carefully planned and stuff, i cant just randomnly ask for money, and go out and buy something, like rich people do

I guess I'm poor, but I don't really want for much, so I don't get unhappy about it.

health is infinitely more important than money.

It depends the way you look at it, I see poor as barely surviving on food a week or not having decent clothes or struggling really badly for money so you can't have the fine things in life.

As long as we can afford a loaf of warbutons I say we are well off. Definitely not rich though and I'm glad, it's made me appreciate what I have.

But I only really go on holidays when my mom offers to take me, and if I feel up to going on one.

I don't own much of value (although I do have an ebook reader, laptop and ipod and a few hundred books) so I guess it's a lot more than a large percentage of the people in the world. I tend not to spend much each week and yep I can go to the cinema as often as I like because I pay for a monthly membership.

Also if I really wanted something I could ask my mom and she'd get it for me.

So yea I don't think of myself as poor, but also I'm far from rich, I don't have great material wealth or a large income each week.

Neither really. I don't generally want anything, as I think I have most things. I don't need the newest thing every week. I am happy with what I have. I would like a smart TV, but I do not need it. I have a TV, stereo, phone, food, clothes, games console blah blah, so I suppose I consider myself pretty well off, even though I do not have a huge amount of ready cash. I have been at both ends of the scale, but I have always made the best of what I have. Status does not interest me. I don't need to keep up with the Jones's.

Ive always driven a broken down crap car to ward off the types of social climbing snobs who judge people by superficial drivel like what type of car they drive. it gives me a cheap thrill to honk my horn and humiliate one of these materialistic mooks. ive never worn designer anything, no sunbeds, no tatooes and no high heels either

Oh, thought this was a private poll. My family have quite a lot of money, I myself am not rich though. I have a well paid job and I pretty much do everything I want in life and get the things I want, but that is more through hard work and saving then anything else. I actually hate coming from a 'rich' family, most of my family are quite snooty and stuck-up when it comes to social class and money.

We're not ric, far from it in fact, but we have a roof over our heads, food in the cupboards and we're all healthy, the kids are getting an education, we go on holidays, have a decent car and live in a decent area so we're actually some of the wealthiest people in the world :)

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say no to a nice wee lottery win, living mortgage free for ever and maybe a nice wee holiday home in Italy, but in general I'm not one to moan about what i havent got, I prefer to be thankful for what we do have. :)

I don't think so Ammi. Laws are set up to protect people like me, from people like you.

Not having a go at the OP here, but I find the topic a little distasteful. Nobody remembers possessions when people die. We only remember deeds.
