Am i the only one who feels this is a slightly overrated BB?

Why is this always been voted number 1 best ever BB by fans on forums,Don't get me wrong it's great up until Grace is Evicted in week 4. It holds my favourite eviction ever Sezer which was classic :joker:. But once it loses Grace, it just lost its way with the HND and the whole thing going on for 13 weeks and as much as he was my fav at the time, the most obvious winner ever in Pete (many of the Hm's knew he won from week one onwards). We were left with 8 weeks of nothingness imo.

reasons why i don't rate it above BB 2,3,5,6

1. Nikki- sorry never got the appeal of a screaming adult acting like a child
2. Aisleyne- Don't get her mass appeal on BB forums as greatest hm ever and the whole she stood up to Sezer and Grace is such a pack of lies its silly. Her OTT crying of chosing Spiral over that other guy was sicken. A decent Hm who's value is bigged up by her fans. the most overrated HM ever
3. Pete been the winner from week 1 really took game out of it.
4. Losing Grace, which took the villian out of the series meaning
it lost its tense edge.
5. Voting Nikki back in to win, it ruined BB sadly.
6. Pete been mothered by the women in the house and him banging those pots.
7. Bullying of Shahbaz (Pete aside) was sicken and left a nasty taste in the mouth during that first week.

It lost it way after the first month sadly imo. I still think its a good series but greatest of all time sorry not for me.

I think her involvement in BB7 has a bit of rewritten history to it by her rabid fans (the forums have been her massive supporters) ,They always wanted to build her up as the underdog who beaten down the nasty bullies. In truth she never stood up to the bullies, she over reacted a lot especially in the HND and was an okay Hm who was the least annoying in that year.

Whilst over-hyped a notch, it was my first proper series which I watched, and looking back it had some of my favourite moments of Big Brother. Grace shouldn't have gone when she did, she was my favourite up until she left. A true BB bitch :love:

really dropped off with the golden ticket (and facing losing Grace or Nikki), and then the HND housemates were all crap too (except Jayne, but she then caused us to lose Nikki)

also hated the clique... not a single iota of interest about any of them.

At its best it was gold, though. Shahbaz's involvement made it the best start to a series there's ever been.

I think it's very overrated. BB7 started of as one of the best series, but for me, ended up one of the worst. I never felt attached to any of the HM's I was watching. (although because I was younger at the time, I thought Pete was hilarious) The production was 100% and I can't fault it. In honesty I don't really know why I didn't like BB7. I could write an almost identical paragraph for BB9 as well.

BB7 lost its way when, for reasons known only to the producers, it engineered the eviction of its two most important housemates, Sezer and Grace. Those two brought an energy to the series in those first four weeks that made it so compelling that was lost in the remaining nine weeks.

Once those two left, all we had the tedious forum wars between the fans of the two most overrated housemates in BB history - Nikki and Aisleyne.

It is obvious the producers would do anything to ensure a Pete victory,so they got rid of the only two housemates that would try and alter the result.

In the end, though, this backfired on the producers because this is the series were viewers began to realise they were being manipulated and started to rebel. I suspect that this was a big reason Rachel won BB9 against the producers favourite, Mikey.

Suzie was my second favourite! I think the British Public are such inverted snobs that they despise anyone who is rich, I had to watch hours and hours of insulting Suzie on BBLB and Big Mouth episodes. :joker:

I can only speak for myself but I never missed Grace at all when she was evicted, for me sooo many of the other housemates came out of their shell & improved drastically when not in her presence (Mikey, Imogen & Lisa most of all)

I also really enjoyed Aisleyne all the way through, the friendship she created with Imogen would never have existed had Grace not left when she did.

BB7 is by far my favourite and most memorable series. It was just amazing, despite Nikki's eviction in Week 8 which almost ruined it for me but then she was voted back in so...all good.

Aisleyne did stand up to Sezer and Grace (who wasn't this epic villain you're trying to make her out to be, she was just a bitch in a house full of life's needy rejects.)

But I honestly can't imagine anyone thinking BB2 (which was certainly no more entertaining than 4) or 3 (which was extremely average) were better than 7.

It was BB at a new peak of popularity at the time. Production was top notch - the house, the graphics, the twists, the tasks, etc. were all really good. Production wise, it was BB at it's best. There were alot of memorable moments and evictions that had so much energy. Who can forget Grace and Nikki's evictions, they were massive events. It just felt like a classic series.

I can see how people wouldn't like it if they didn't like Nikki since she was the biggest part of the series, but I personally loved her and therefore loved the series. I also personally found people like Pete, Aisleyne, Glyn, Mikey, etc. to be likable and fun to watch. I felt a strong attachment to many of the housemates in this series.

Grace and Nikki were both major loses to the series after their evictions, but you still had things like the House Next Door that kept things interesting IMO.

All the series had bullying, but shabaz gave perhaps the best first week ever in entire BB history, bullying wasn't the reason, but shabaz creating some of most entertaining moments with his psycho personality. Nikki isn't overrated, she is a cuty and was a unique hm, best ever, she could pull of hundreds of facial expression, could impersonate HM, and was hilarious with some of things she said, gave perhaps the biggest BB quotes. she was like Goldie hawn of BB. agree best HM leaving and series being too long can get boring, but first 8 weeks it was amazing, and then the final 2 weeks where HM came back in that created tension, I wasn't an aislyen fan but realise her important contribution to the show, she wasn't dull.

The first 6 weeks is pure madness and drama, the best BB can get. The second half isn't as good but still had fun tasks and twists to keep it going.

Personally I think Imogen is the most undertated housemate, I thought she was likeable and fun whereas Susie really was plain dull, also Imogen > Richard any day, HE is overrated.

Grace was a big reason as to why the first half of BB7 was gold, she was entertaining as she was so manipulative and caused drama from her stirring, she was also defo top of the hierarchy in the house by the time Susie came in so the others liked her. She knew exactly what she was doing with the Sam thing and was winning the power battle against Richard easy which is why she took the loss of Sezer and Susie's arrival so badly as she had such a competitive streak.

Meh, I actually prefered Aisleyne to Grace but neither of them seemed like they wanted to argue when Grace came back, both using the birthday excuse. All words from the pair of them.

But Grace wasn't entertaining. Like I said, she bitched. That takes no skill, literally ANYONE can do it. Sure she had more of a grip on the house than someone of the same archetype like Caroline (who is strictly a beta and is the type of girl who Grace would torment in boarding school), but her only successful move was getting Sam evicted right after Imogen and Lisa secured her into their alliance sooooo yeah good job? As for when Grace returned, Aisleyne was the one who kept seeking some closure with the issue and was relentless in trying to start something with Grace (<33333), but Grace pussyfooted around it by first trying to act like the public lauded her efforts, then by trying to justify it because Susie was a stripper, and then using her birthday as an excuse. It was really pathetic.

As for Susie, what's not to love? A literally plastic, passive aggressive, shallow ex-stripper with huge fake tits righteously looking down her nose at everyone really is a dream come true in my BBUK fantasies. Much like Elissa from BBUS, Susie was surrounded by people objectively beneath her and she spent her time making extremely bitchy remarks while being completely oblivious to how bitchy they are. Some examples for everyone:

-"I don't want to be disrespectful but it doesn't even LOOK like a language. It looks like a toddler got a crayon and just wrote down every letter they know."
-"Klingon... which is like a false language."
"Well so is this."
-"They'll put you in horrendous outfits just to make fun of you, cause I've had the most horrendous outfits." (to Jayne, wearing her normal clothes)

Obviously Susie is dull by conventional standards, but that's the beauty of her? She's so dull and vapid that it's so hard to comprehend, but like the rest of her HMs she's incredibly insane and she can just hide it better. Like, recall that by the end of it all she was hoarding tea bags and biscuits and had the HMs petrified of chewing gum and that one time she completely LOST IT when her drawers were switched as a prank. Sorry but Susie is just too good to ignore.

But Grace couldn't stand Sam and her alliance was already strong enough by that point so why would she want someone she couldn't stand? Grace managed to whip up Lisa as a secure member (she practically became Sezer's replacement, just thicker) Nikki who she was arguing with a week before and Lea as a result of the whole Sam saga (one of my favourite episodes in BB history :love: ). Anyway, if it wasn't for Sezer and Imogen being banned from nominating in week 2 it would have been Lea and Richard up then week after week Ash, Susie, Sam would have gone and who knows? If BB didn't interfere Grace might have made it to near the end. Half the house completely hung to her every word and Richard seemed to gave more of a problem with Imogen than Grace.

I just cant find Susie entertaining, yes there were funny moments like the Jayne comment but that's about it, she was a dull housenate who offered nothing. Although it would have been interesting to see her be voted back in the HND with Grace and Lea (who randomly started hating her? Lol)

Also I dont get the comparison between Grace and Caroline except they were both posh and bitchy. Grace was a way better hm than Caroline.

Just been watching it again whilst copying it from video to dvd. Forgot how good it was.not the best, BB8 had everything for me especially humour, but some great HMs and a very good series
