Nah see that's why I don't read alot of non fiction, it would make me too depressed, especially about that poor child, such an horrific case. Anything to do with kids being hurt especially I just couldn't read, it would upset me too much

What's it about Ammi?
...it's about a young girl in the middle of a war on an island somewhere, I can't remember....there is only one white man who tries to teach the children (and adults attend as well)...Great Expectations is one of the very few books that haven't been destroyed and the character Mr Pip becomes misinterpreted by rebel soldiers..it's quite brutal and violent...sad but uplifting as well....

Yes, theres no violence in it though so might be a little tame for some.
My neighbour recommends books by Jo Nesbo if you enjoyed Stieg Larsson's books. He's a Swedish crime writer also. I think I'll give him a try.

Will definately buy this Kazanne, The Dad was totally forgotton in this horrific event. The CCTV footage of those older boys leading that little tot away is still etched in my memory, and the immediate thought that oh he is safe he is with some older boys, soon to be followed by the horrific reality, it is a crime I will never forget.

Try this one: Day Before Midnight by Stephen Hunter
You won't be disappointed. It helps to have some 80s memories, I'll say, but it works well. Enjoy if you can grab a copy. :)
Quote from a reader: "Each chapter is an hour, and the clock is ticking while the heroes race to avert global catastrophe. In this case, terrorist commandos have taken over a nuclear missile silo in rural Maryland, and a band of scientists, feds, Delta badasses, Vietnam vets and clutzy National Guardsmen try to prevent World War III."
