This is the story behind the rise and fall and rise again of Speidi, perhaps the most loathed celebrity couple in the States, who have become a UK phenomenon since taking the runners-up spot on Celebrity Big Brother. Do audiences over here love them, or do they love the chaos they create?
Featuring intimate and revealing interviews with Heidi and Spencer and contributions from those who have surrounded them, this film reveals the truth behind their marriage, the rifts, the bankruptcy, the hate campaign, the plastic surgery and, most shocking of all, the dry cleaning bill...
Spencer and Heidi have lived their lives in the media spotlight since their relationship started, when they both featured in MTV's LA-based reality TV show The Hills. Since then, their every move has been blogged about, rehearsed and recorded.
They have been "tortured" (Heidi's word) on the US version of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, they have got married three times and they have cancelled getting divorced. There has been bankruptcy, a photo shoot for Playboy and they have released a book called How to be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture.
There have been big-screen film roles, Heidi recorded an album, aptly named Superficial, and Spencer tried to board an aircraft while carrying a hunting rifle. There has also been plastic surgery in abundance.
Do Speidi epitomise the vacuous celebrity culture of our time, or are they strongly driven self publicists with serious career plans?

Im thinking of things to say but tbh, they said it all themselves, what a pair of loosers. The best part was the last lines spoken.....off to oblivion never to be heard of again, well at least untill they crave more crap for dosh, what a way to live a life. Pretty sad eh.

I agree. She was a beautiful looking woman before she had her surgery and she certainly has aged from the after effects. Also when Speidi spoke of their nice pad beside the beach, I actually imagined it to be a lot bigger than what was shown. What baffled me was when Spencer said he's on the internet 24/7 catching up with all the other celebs whilst Heidi does the cooking, cleaning etc. I would of thought when they were in CBB not wanting to be separate from eachother in the house as part of the task, they're basically living like that back at home.

When I look back at the judgemental comments made about Rylan when he was on x-factor about his singing even though he was kept in for the entertainment mostly, Heidi spent 2mil dollars on her singing career that ended up a complete flop. Says it all really.

I think the title of this thread just about sums them up in a few words especially the "scandal" part of it. As far as their fame goes for the entertaining side of things, forget that but after looking at the bigger picture last night, it's clear that it's all about $$$$.

I DONT GET THEM, thats rich coming from you mate. They had 2 safes there and one was full of rifles and killing bren guns, how the f..k can you say they dont like guns. When I lived in S Africa post Mandela, we had a small firearm at home locked away in case of emergencies but it was never fired ever, but that was tied into home insurance purposes. These two muppets professed to LIKING FIRING THEM pretty often and she even said she would use it to defend herself.

It would take someone with a white stick and a big fluffy dog not to see where they come from. They are total media *****s that will lie if needed to make money. They spend like kids and cry when broke and now they want us to fund their lifestyle by offering their skills as twats on the box. Well if you pay your tv licence and subscribe to a cell phone vote, you are indirectly helping them scam us all so sleep well knowing you are helping the very kind of petulant twats we abhore on a daily basis.

Their book signing was an imbalance of security and fans which the majority looked like they needed zit lotion by the gallon and a lesson on how to leave their laptops alone for at least 4 hrs a day. It was hardly a big sucess as people on here proclaim but there again, Spencer isnt the only purveyor of the truth by the sounds of it.

it's not even their house, they said it's Spencer's Dad's house, i'm assuming it's spencer's dad's gun safe as well.

My point was they brought out the guns cause they knew it would be offensive/controversial to Brits for the show.
