Where would you rather live for the foreseeable future. I can't decide and friends are being irritatingly diplomatic

Good job, average town, 3 hours away from home
Average job, nice town, 1 hour away from home

Consider them both the top of the career too

I'd say the good one. It sounds like you're more keen on that job, and I live three hours away from home and I find it makes the journey back kinda more special when I am able to make it. (not that I have a job LOL but still)

Depends whether you're more concerned with your work life or your personal one I suppose, would personally say the second one because I'd be happy to sacrifice a bit of a better job to live somewhere I really like

I would say the good job...3 hours isn't that far, especially if you drive...you don't want to regret not taking it....you can always look for a job nearer home once youve tried it if you don't like it!

..oh that's a tough one..where you live is really important to your happiness and well being too...

..how good is the 'average' job..does it have real potential to become the 'good' job any time soon..?..what's more important to you..?..

..hmmm, I would tend to go with the average job if it could become a good job soon, only because then 'you'll have it all' kind of thing..whereas with the other option, you can't really change the average town bit...but then it depends how average the town is and whether that's a real problem for you as well...lol, sorry that's not much help..but I guess with that sort of decision, it's only you who can know what you think is best...

..good luck with your decision, whatever it is, you'll make it the right one...

Good job. You need to make inroads into your chosen career, and the fact you state it's a good job tells you everything you already know. You'll soon make new friends and be canceling visits home!
