Leading on from the other human/pet dilemma thread, do you think that animals are on par with humans or are humans superior? Also, why?

Humans > Dogs > other animals > cats > fish> bugs/ insects

Seeing as animals are incapable of proper higher thinking like humans I don't think they're necessarily equal with us.
That said though, I do think they basic rights and respect.

Animals don't judge? yes they do. If you didn't feed them, do you think they'd still love you? gimme a break.

Humans are the only species with the capacity to improve the world conscientiously. That is a potential superiority, but one that is sadly often ignored.

I don't know why it's so hard for some people to accept that humans have so much more value to their lives than an ant. Give yourselves some credit like.

Just out of interest to those who say yes or "no, animals are superior", if you were stranded on a deserted island and your only food source was chicken, would you not kill it because you are equals/the animal is superior?
