--> Launch Show - Wednesday Feb 27th - audience of 1.4 million

(across both Slice and Global TV. (bb canada was only shown on global for the first episode to help promote it more i guess.. global is a network station seen across the country while slice is a specialty "cable" channel not as widely available.

--> Eviction #1 - Thurs Feb 28th - audience of 608,000

(keep in mind canada only has a population of 32 million compared to 62 million in the uk and 350 million in the U.S)
so these numbers are pretty good so far

will post more ratings as they get posted online. Next Episode is Sunday @ 9pm EST

so great news so far!

Just to make comparisons, the top show in canada last week was CSI with an audience of 2.2 million followed by Big Bang Theory at 2.1, Hockey Night in Canada Toronto Maple Leaf Game at 1.8 million and those top 3 shows were all on network channels. BB Canada was the most watched non network program of the week.

will post more ratings as they become available. Next Episode is Sunday March 3rd @ 9pm EST

Excellent news! And thanks for the live feed link as well. :hugesmile:

Those ratings are wrong. Premiere night got 3.3million in the official release from Shaw Media. The 1.4million figure is just from Global for one of the age groups or something. It ended up winning the timeslot over Americal Idol.

608k the next night is right though.

ah yes, your right, 3.3 is unreal. wow.

looks like it will end up being the top watched show across the country for the week and only second to Survivor in the 18-49 demo.

according to the news release tho, only 300k of that 3.3 million were watching on slice on wednesday night, so that is a little bit concerning.

I just hope this decision to only show it on Slice doesn't hurt them in the end.

Slice being a NON-HD channel. The show looked amazing in HD on Global for that first episode, dunno what the logic is with all that... shooting in HD, broadcasting in SD..... It is 2013 right?

Just to put the premiere into context when BBUSA airs on Global it usually gets around 1.5-2m viewers.

Definitely concerning but that 300k was a new high for the channel and the second week was 608k. So Slice doubled it's highest viewership every in one night. I imagine it'll keep climbing. Plus that doesn't take into count the website views of the episodes. I imagine Global will wanna air it next season.

Is Slice not the main channel for Canada?

No Slice is a specially channel you have to buy in a package. Although some cable provides toss it in with the basic bundles in some areas I guess.

Global is the main Shaw Media channel. Slice is a channel that was designed to aim programs at women. If Global picks it up next year it'll probably be one of the most viewed shows in Canada.

The problem Global have is they have commitments with US programming, which they have to air at the same time as in the US - so clearing three hours a week on the main channel isn't that straight forward.

Where can I find current rating results. I am curious about the ratings now that slice preview is over and many are watching online or Youtubing it.

So slice is abit like sky living?

I think it's like Bravo here in the US. It's a basic cable channel aimed at gays and women. It's the same channel that shows project runway and the real housewives shows.

I think it's somewhere inbetween channel 5 and sky living. It's less mainstream than channel 5, but not as obscure as Sky Living.

It's certainly no where near as big as CBS in America or Channel 4 in the UK.

I NEVER watched any shows on slice before this one. Its crappy reality tv shows that no one watches pretty much

It seems pretty much impossible to find Canadian TV ratings. Networks seem to release info for big events but there doesn't seem to be a daily report like most countries have.

Whole on, the US Bravo is aimed at Gays and Women? :laugh:

Such a contrast to the old Bravo channel in the UK.

I am finding you are right. Just thought I'd ask if someone else knew how to find the info I can't seem to find anywhere

Shaw Media have released some info on the series so far - it would be very surprising if it didn't get a second season:
