Just after i finished high school i use to do Night fishing a lot down near the Canal, didn't use to catch much though, just a few Perch and Trout now and again, i got one of those moorhens round the neck once by accident as well and i had to break the line to get it free

niamh,are we all getting a little paranoid? fishing is all down to the bait you use(I don't know what other word to use)and of course having good equipment,are we not allowed to say the word bait anymore?I wanted to know what people thought of it as a sport,that is all.

I actually think it's pretty cruel,but there are big differences with peoples opinions on this.I have watched Grandad do it when I was younger,and thought the same then.

I like eating fish, but sticking hooks in their mouths as a passtime seems a bit barbaric to me.
