What statistics lol, that article you posted is questioning the idea that 1 in 4 "will suffer a mental health problem at some point in their lives", that's completely different from 1 in 4 being psychotic and there's not much evidence for it anyway

:joker: It's one in four will suffer from a mental health problem ( as Matt says ) in actual fact. Google it, its an official statistic. I just adapted it jokingly to go with the theme of the thread. Hence the

No. Paranoia would be the killer in situations like this.

It's a bit weird if you think this whilst out in public.

They say that one in four people is psychotic....so if your three best friends are normal, then its you!

To be fair, suffering from a mild depressive disorder at one point doesn't equate to psychosis. Also, that average is balanced out - there are groups of people in which relatively large proportions have a mental disorder and masses where no one has a mental disorder.

What they mean is that the figure equates to approximately 25%, 1 in 4 as a ratio. It doesn't necessarily mean that 1 in every four have a mental problem, just the mean.

1 in 4 people are said to suffer mental illness at some point in their life, not specifically psychosis

..I'm sure I was killed by a seriel killer in past life because I find it hard to watch documentaries/movies when there's a killer who kills for no apparent reason...it's something that really disturbs me...and especially when they're 'faceless'..like wearing masks or something...emotionless..I just can't watch anything like that....

Yes, and even though I get accused of being a weirdo because of it, I think it's much safer to be wary of strangers than not as you could be taken by surprise, and I also like to keep a close eye out for my friends and family as well in case something bad happens.

I hate that as well, that's why I always go near other people when that's happening so there would be witnesses nearby in case the killer tried anything.

And I'm sorry that you got mugged Vanessa.

Yes it may be so but you run the risk of being eaten by a Polar bear as they run wild on Svalbard ...
