Students acting like dicks is hardly a new phenomenon. It's part of growing up. Misogynistic language has entered our conversations more, probably as a rebound from political correctness. The word "rape" has especially lost it's meaning. I use that in sentences sometimes to mean totally different things.

I think people discussing rape openly in forums, are probably not going to act it out. It's done for shock value.

Fantasizing about rape doesn't mean you are capable of actually raping someone.

I do think it is highly offensive and inappropriate to talk about your rape fantasies in front of the the person you are fantasizing about though. Especially in a professional environment.

But a rape fantasy in and of itself is not necessarily wrong. All men have fantasies about controlling someone sexually. That is natural.

While it's sick and I understand why they've got into some trouble, I do however think there are more important issues that need to be sorted out right now compared to some jerks on the Internet.

Don't you know that all men are meant to be sexual beasts that think about sex 24/7? and all kinds of sex turns us on?

I think that this silly laddy behaviour is puerile and shows shallowness and a lack of any character or personality. However, I would say that there is a distinct difference between boys acting immature and rapists.....
