A TV actor has gone on trial at Blackfriars Crown Court accused of rape and sexual assault.

The actor, who cannot be named because he is under 18, is said to have forced himself on the male complainant, 14, in a theatre's internal fire escape.

It is alleged he did it to prove to his girlfriend that he was bisexual.

He denies one count of oral rape in July 2010 and three counts of sexual assault between July 2010 and September 2010.

Proceedings were adjourned twice as the teenage victim was asked to detail the attack on him and struggled to compose himself.

The case continues.

Joshua Pascoe, Eastenders Star, Arrested Over Alleged Sexual Assault

Joshua Pascoe, who plays Ben Mitchell in Eastenders, has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault, according to a report.

The Sun claims 16-year-old Joshua was quizzed by officers at Wimbledon police station in south London on Thursday and freed on bail.

A source told the newspaper: "His mum (Sheree) is distraught. He's only 16, so his arrest is very upsetting for the whole family."

Met Police said: "A 16-year-old boy was arrested on May 24 in connection with an allegation of sexual assault. He has been bailed to return to a North London police station on July 31."

On Friday night, a BBC spokesman told The Sun: "We are aware of the allegations."

A TV actor accused of raping a 14-year-old boy punched his victim after telling him the sex act had been consensual, a court has heard.

A friend of the alleged victim said the actor had told the boy: "Everything that we did you wanted to happen too."

The boy was then punched in the face, leaving him with "tears in his eyes", the Blackfriars Crown Court jury heard.

Giving evidence, the actor insisted the acts were consensual.

A 17-year-old TV actor accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy has been cleared.

The soap star from the Sutton area, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was cleared by the jury at London's Blackfriars Crown Court today (March 26).

He had been accused of a three-month campaign of sexual abuse, which allegedly took place when the pair attended the same theatre school.

The jury cleared the actor after almost five hours of deliberation.

The actor had pleaded not guilty to all four charges he faced - which were three accounts of sexual assault and one of oral rape - and told the jury that his sexual relations with his accuser were consensual.

The TV star was 15 year's old at the time of the incident, and his accuser was 14.

Prosecutor Timothy Forster had asked the jury to consider the strain on the person making the accusations, after he collapses in the witness box yesterday.

Defence counsel Judith Khan QC countered: "There is a natural reaction of sympathy to someone who reacts to giving evidence in that way.

"But it is important to bear in mind that that reaction is not an indicator of truthfulness. A witness who may be lying or dishonest may react in the same way."

She added of her client's testimony about the sexual acts: "He volunteered the detail, it must have been excruciatingly embarrassing for him to give the detail, but give it he did."
