'10 O'Clock Live', 'The Last Leg' returning to Channel 4

10 O'Clock Live is to return for a third series on Channel 4.

Channel 4's Jay Hunt confirmed at a press event this morning (March 19) that Jimmy Carr, Charlie Brooker, Lauren Laverne and David Mitchell will all return to host another run of the satirical series.

The Last Leg - hosted by Australian comedian Adam Hills, stand-up comic Josh Widdicombe and sports journalist Alex Brooker - will also be back for another series, it was announced.

Originally running alongside the 2012 summer Paralympics, The Last Leg is currently airing its second series, with episode eight - featuring guest Jo Brand - going out this Friday at 9.30pm.

The third series will debut in the summer, while 10 O'Clock Live will return to Channel 4 in April.

It was first rumoured in June 2012 that 10 O'Clock Live would be back for a third series, after the show's second run saw an increase in average viewership per episode.

Wasn't sure if 10 O'Clock live would be back but I thought The Last Leg would (which is a brilliant show too, not sure if anyone on here watches it).

eh... the last series (of 10OCL) was hit and miss... they seriously need to ditch Jimmy. Cheapens the whole show.

10 O'Clock Live needs to be extended again, I don't know why they cut it. 65 minutes would be good.

And The Last Leg needs to be permanently extended, half an hour is awful. That should get 50 mins.

The Last Leg is a topical comedy show that used to air every night as the last part of Channel 4's daily Paralympics coverage, and they'd discuss the days events.

It was picked up for an end-of-year special and a second series which has been airing since January and it's now focused on the week's news. Very underrated show.

eh, Lauren's okay at doing all the unfunny bits... she's not really got the delivery to carry off the rants or the satire. Which makes her pointless I know but I don't mind her :laugh:

10 O'Clock Live returns on Wednesday 24th April for an eight episode run.
