...but here's the deal guys, I don't know who knows or anything but Mollie doesn't exist. Mollie is actually a guy. I won't go into too many details here, but I just want to say this - I genuinely believe that this guy, Mike his name is, didn't mean to do this. Well, I think he struggled with confidence and wanted to make an internet alias. That being said, Mike has the same birthday as Mollie, the same background, the same skills in designing. It's just he's Mike, not Mollie. I don't want to speak on his behalf as I don't know, but hopefully eventually he might get the courage to come on here and speak for himself.

Yeah it sucks, especially if you were as close to Mollie as I was. But you know what, it's the internet and these things happen. Whether you want to say hello to Mike or just move on from this Mollie thing, it's your choice. But I just think it's hard for everyone right now. This is why I was sad yesterday, but I am ok now. I care a lot about this person whatever happens and this 'Bridge to Terabithia' quote says it all for me, and that's how I want to end this post.

I was going to comment on those Shaun but you see this has thrown up quite a moral dilemma in my head here. If you've been stood up in a place as far away as London/duped by somebody, then you're obviously going to be angry and will want to find some answers...but then I don't know, messaging a school or contacting real life friends seems a bit too far to me. But there's some middle ground there I think which is quite difficult, the balance between being rightly pissed off and prying too far into people's personal lives.

There have been two instances of people pretending to be other people, that's what I commented on jesus.
As I said it will be up to the parties involved who decides what happens next so any speculation is silly.

Basically we arranged back in December about this meet up and then when the day finally came around she didn't turn up. I didn't suspect her as fake after it, she had a legitimate reason and one I believed, and we continued speaking for the few days afterwards (although not as often). Then a couple of nights ago someone showed me an old page of hers (well, his) and it all went from there. But yeah, Mollie is basically the person she originally was on here. The Facebook and Twitter are fake too, for those asking. I'll not go any further into it, I don't think anyone else really needs to know all of the details.

I think when you exchange phone numbers, arrange meet ups, etc, it goes further than just being another person on a forum, so myself and a couple of others are probably more bothered about this than others, but at the end of the day they are still the same person (as far as I know all the details about them are the same, just that they are male and not female), so if they're browsing as a guest or something then hopefully they'll log in one day and explain this better.

And Raph posted this thread because somehow other people who had nothing to do with any of this had found out and kept asking him questions about it on Skype, he figured it better he broke the news properly than just having a bunch of randomers talking about it all over the forum.

Right, I need to break this down.

So 'Mollie' is a fake person on TiBB. But obviously the girl in the pics is real, and is seemingly called Mollie.

Now unless the guy on here that stole the real Mollie's identity knew her, and they essentially orchestrated the whole thing together...then surely it wouldn't be possible for two accounts with the same pictures and names to exist at the same time? Because sooner or later you'd surely (need to stop saying surely) discover someone has made a fake account of yourself (the real Mollie that is)? If that makes sense.
