The Easy A actress moved to New York in September 2012 following two-hit-and-run charges and a DUI arrest in L.A. But Bynes has still made headlines in the Big Apple for her erratic behavior.

Amanda Bynes' family 'want her to move back to Los Angeles' following graphic tweets to Drake

The star's bizarre behavior has her loved ones deeply concerned.

Amanda Bynes' worried family is trying to get her to leave New York and move closer to them in Los Angeles.

But the troubled 26-year-old actress is reportedly refusing to move back to the West Coast to allow them to keep a closer eye on her.

Amanda was recently forced to move out of her New York apartment after being threatened with eviction.

A source close to the family told E! News that the What I Like About You actress has everyone extremely worried about her strange behaviour of late, including her raunchy tweets to Drake.

Her family is still hopeful that Amanda will return to her normal self but will step in to help get her life back on track if necessary.

Amanda has had a series of legal troubles in the past few months.

In December Amanda settled two hit-and-run cases after reaching a civil compromise with her victims, saving herself from a potential 12 months in jail.
Along with her legal troubles, Amanda was involved in two bizarre episodes in September 2011. They included locking herself in a store changing room for nearly two hours and refusing to come out, and stripping off during a gym class.

Friends say her parents don't know what to do as Amanda has cut contact with everyone.

'Amanda shut them out and isn't speaking to them,' the source explained. 'She is doing everything on her own. She has no direction.

Amanda left her Twitter followers shocked after posting a crude, sexually charged tweet about rapper Drake on Thursday.

Her potty-mouthed remark comes on top of a series of Twitter rambling she has made about the 26-year-old Canadian star.

Last week she described him as a 'hot fellow' on the social networking site and began posting a series of photos of him.

One Twitter user commented: 'She's gone crazy,' while another surmised: 'She has to be hacked or [something].'

Other followers noted how much the actress has changed since her days as a sweet and innocent child star on Nickelodeon show All That.

Bynes - who has both her cheeks pierced with jewellery - announced in 2007 that she did not want to become yet another wild Hollywood star.
Amanda shot to fame after appeared in successful television series including as All That and The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon in the mid to late 1990s and early 2000s.

She also branched out into film, appearing in the likes of 2003's critically panned What A Girl Wants and 2007's Hairspray before her abrupt retirement.

Amanda Bynes Threatens To Sue Perez

The actress took to Twitter today (March 28) to declare legal action against the US gossip columnist and the showbiz publication.
She tweeted: "I'm suing @usweekly & @perezhilton for continuing to act like I'm doing something wrong by tweeting and walking to photoshoots. ****** you!!!! (sic)"

Hilton, who recently complied a list titled 'Amanda Bynes's Most Bizarre Yet Entertaining Tweets' on his website, responded by retweeting Bynes's message and added: "Good morning to you too!"

He then tweeted a link to several pictures of him and Bynes at his 31st birthday party and wrote: "Me and @AmandaBynes, back in the good ol' days! Throwback Thursday!"

The 26-year-old has received attention from the press recently due to her bizarre behaviour.

The star's family are reportedly worried about her well-being following her antics, which include tweeting that she wants rapper Drake to "murder [her] vagina" and appearing to call Jay-Z "ugly face" on the social networking site.

In November, Bynes threatened to take legal action against In Touch Weekly after they ran a story claiming that the actress had been seen walking around naked at a tanning salon.

Amanda Bynes has been freed by a judge after her arrest on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana.

The troubled actress was earlier taken into custody by police at her New York apartment after allegedly throwing a bong out of her window following a complaint from the building's concierge that she was smoking weed in the lobby.


Bynes told the judge that the bong she threw out of the window was "just a vase", according to TMZ.

Prosecutors in the case had asked for Bynes to be held on a $1,000 bail, but the presiding judge decided to let her leave without bail.

However, Bynes was warned that she would have an arrest warrant issued against her if she failed to turn up to her next court date in July.

She soon left the court on her own in a waiting taxi.

The criminal report from the incident stated that Bynes became angry after a uniformed police officer asked her about the bong.

The police officer wrote: "I observed [Bynes] grab said bong, run to the westbound-facing window, and throw it out the window where numerous pedestrians were walking on the 8 Avenue and West 47 Street sidewalks below."

She was quickly arrested for her actions, before attending court handcuffed and hiding her face behind a long blonde wig.

The Easy A actress was given three years' probation at a court hearing earlier this month after pleading no contest to driving on a suspended licence.

Don't believe the reports about me being arrested. It's all lies. I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me. He lied and said I threw a bong out the window when I opened the window for fresh air. Hilarious. He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment. Big deal. I then called the cops on him. The New York Police Department has denied that one of its officers groped Amanda Bynes while investigating drug allegations at her apartment.

Bynes was arrested by New York police earlier in the week for allegedly throwing a bong out her window as she was questioned about possibly smoking marijuana.

The actress was ultimately freed from custody pending a criminal hearing in July, and later alleged on Twitter that one of the responding officers "slapped [her] vagina" during the investigation at her apartment.

Bynes has threatened to sue the NYPD for "illegally entering [her] apartment, lying about drugs on [her] and lying about [her] tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia".

A spokesperson for the NYPD has now offered an official denial of Bynes's accusations,
"Internal Affairs investigators have found no evidence to corroborate Ms Bynes's allegations," the police department said.

Their statement continued: "To the contrary, a credible civilian witness who was with the officers throughout told investigators that no-one touched Ms Bynes inappropriately or otherwise engaged in misconduct at any time."

Bynes was also in the news today (May 28) for claiming that disparaging messages posted on her Twitter account about Rihanna were fake.


So it's her move now about the witness, no doubt it was made up by the police :laugh:

The Amanda Bynes drug case is falling apart ... FAST ... because the cops have absolutely NO HARD EVIDENCE that Amanda was ever in possession of weed, this based on information TMZ has obtained from law enforcement.

An NYPD official told TMZ ... the police report mentions NOTHING of any marijuana recovered at the scene. According to the report, cops saw Amanda throw what they believe is "drug paraphernalia" out the window. The report also says cops smelled "a strong odor of marijuana."

Based on multiple calls to law enforcement and others ... it appears NO DRUGS were recovered ... and that's what Amanda has been saying all along.

As for the alleged bong ... it's almost certain it will never be admitted into evidence. TMZ broke the story ... our producer spotted glass remnants on a sub-roof Tuesday and then called police and asked if they had inspected it. He was told they hadn't, and was asked for the location where the glass was found. Cops arrived a short time later and presumably checked the sub-roof.

Here's the problem ... No one knows if anyone tampered with the glass remnants which sat for days, in the rain. The chain of custody has been irretrievably broken and it's virtually certain the glass would not be admissible into evidence.

Short story ... even if prosecutors try to nail Amanda for reckless endangerment by throwing something out the window -- cops say she confessed to throwing a vase but she denies it -- there's no physical evidence of what was allegedly thrown. We've spoken with several lawyers who say it will be extremely difficult to convict her on reckless endangerment without physical evidence.

Short story -- if you're betting on this one, Amanda seems to be a pretty safe gamble.

Lance Bass has become the latest star to be criticised by Amanda Bynes on her Twitter page.

Bynes - who has also hit out at blogger Perez Hilton, Courtney Love and model Chrissy Teigen - slammed Bass after hearing his comments about her on the radio.

Bass - who worked with Bynes on the 2005 movie Love Wrecked - suggested on a Las Vegas radio show that "there's some mental problems there".

"I'm actually really scared for her," he added.

However, Bynes hit out at Bass on her Twitter page, saying: "I ignored Lance Bass on twitter and now he is saying I have a mental illness. Sorry you're an ugly ex boy band member w/ no talent or career."

She added: "I haven't spoken to Lance Bass in 11 years. To say I have a mental illness out of nowhere makes me lash out! You're making me crazy!"

Her comments caused Bass to question whether Bynes was really in control of her Twitter page, saying: "Ouch- The Amanda I know would never had said something like this to me- either this is a fake person or she really does have a mental illness. Way too sad. I reached out- all i can do."

He also questioned Bynes's suggestion that they haven't seen each other for 11 years, tweeting: "Now I really don't think this is Amanda- we shot LoveWrecked together 7 years ago and she was just at my bday party 3 years ago. Hmmm 11?"

Amanda Bynes followed through on her promise to get her nose fixed after seeing it in her mug shot ... and she tells TMZ she already wants to get another procedure ... ASAP.

In one of her post-arrest Twitter rants, Bynes said she was planning on "getting in shape and getting a nose job!"

According to new 2013 reports, Amanda Bynes’ mental illness and health continues to improve at the UCLA psychiatric ward where she is being held. Last week, the troubled actress made headlines for being bisexual, according to sources close to the actress.
In the latest edition of Star Magazine, Ashley Marie, Bynes’ cousin, gave an exclusive interview with the gossip magazine. She claimed (from firsthand knowledge) that Amanda “is getting better.”
An unnamed source in the same article went on to discuss Bynes’ parents and the difficult time they are having. While Amanda and her folks have had a rough relationship in the past, the source insists that:

“They’re thankful Amanda is improving. Her family loves her so much and wants her to get better.”
As we reported earlier, Amanda’s mom, Lynn, has been granted temporary conservatorship over the troubled actress. A judge granted her full control over Bynes’ finances and health care, temporarily.
The decision was made after Bynes set a fire in a stranger’s driveway back in July. Ms. Bynes also covered herself and her dog in gasoline, accidentally. The initial hold of 72 hours has been significantly extended into September and could be pushed back even further.
Doctors who testified in the case believe Bynes suffers from multiple mental illnesses, including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Her parents agree and have since had their daughter transferred to UCLA.
UCLA has an outstanding treatment center for mental illness. In fact, they have helped a number of distressed A-listers (including Britney Spears).
Of course, many news outlets aren’t covering her improving health. They decided to focus on her sexuality, citing an article that Perez Hilton published. An alleged source revealed to the gossip site that:
“She didn’t really hide it or keep it a secret with those that were close to her, which wasn’t really a lot of people. But she was sexually and romantically involved with a close female friend of hers. And a couple times she even had more than one woman in bed with her. She worried that her parents would be upset about it and it’s not a label she wanted publicly. But I don’t really even know if Amanda is sure of her sexuality. I think she was just a little lost and yearning for love and attention anywhere she could get it.”

Amanda Bynes has completed inpatient rehabilitation and is recovering at her parents' home in Los Angeles, Bynes' mother's attorney tells People.

"Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery," lawyer Tamar Arminak says in a statement. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day."

Bynes was involuntarily hospitalized on a 5150 psychiatric hold in July after she was seen standing near a small fire on a household driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Per a judge's orders, she was sent into treatment and later moved to a rehabilitation facility in Malibu.

"Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared," Arminak tells People, adding that the 27-year-old actress is looking to start another fashion line. (She did design a collection called Dear for Steve & Barry's in Aug. 2007, but the partnership ended once the company went bankrupt, E! News noted.)

"She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," the statement continues. "She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."

According to Arminak, Bynes' mother will remain in indefinite control over the actress' well-being and finances as she recovers. Bynes will also appear in court on Jan. 7, 2014 after a judge reviewed her court-ordered medical evaluation in November and determined that she is capable of understanding the DUI charges she faces, which stem from an April 2012 incident in which she allegedly side-swiped a police car.

Amanda Bynes seems to be trying to turn her life around. The former actress has reportedly enrolled in fashion school.

The story comes exclusively from E! News, who is reporting that Amanda Bynes is enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Orange County.

Although Amanda did not attend the first day of classes, her name is reportedly still on the list of all students enrolled for the winter semester.
