Earlier on I had an idea.
You see things like video games and television shows - expanding on their primary format in order to stay fresh and unique.
Big Brother attempted to do this when it moved to Channel 5 and all it's done is ruin the show. Reality TV nowadays is all about people's daily lives and seeing people out in and about.
To put it frankly, most of Britain is fed up watching 13 people in a house all Summer long nowadays. (I personally still love it, but anyway)
So I came up with an idea, something that will never happen but I would love to demonstrate it to you guys. I call it, Big Brother Village.
Big Brother Village is a stripped down, yet bigger version of the Big Brother format and brand. Gone are the loud audiences, they're replaced with a studio audience - only present during eviction interviews.
Let me paint a picture for everyone on what the Big Brother Village would actually look like;

On Launch Night at the very start of Summer, twenty housemates will enter the village in groups of five. They make their way out of the 'studio' and into the village, greeted by a path and a huge open space covered in astro turf and trees.
The path leads the housemates to their house - which unlike previous years, has changed dramatically. The familiar 'BB Style' house has been removed and replaced with a simple, yet sexy modern condo.
Complete with a back yard, and an upstairs area.
The Big Brother Village is completely cut off from the outside world, restoring some of the original format. Huge walls isolate the housemates from the rest of the country, whilst trees cover the walls to create a more 'village-y' theme.
Housemates are free to enter and leave the Big Brother house as they please, to go to the shop, do some laundry, maybe call down to the bar for a few drinks and so on.
Housemates have to win small tokens to be able to use these stores - which they can win throughout tasks and challenges.
The format of evictions still remains the same, however - nominating is now done in a 'court' styled hall in which every housemate gathers to give their nominations infront of eachother, every week.
Housemates that are feeling lucky can make bets in the Bookies on who they think will be nominated or put up for eviction - if that housemate is evicted, the other housemate will be rewarded with tokens.
Workers from the BBV Stores will be members of production - whilst they are able to contact with the housemates, they are forbidden from discussing any knowledge of the outside world. Staff who work in the village, have their own private house located on site [but away from the housemates].
The series would come with a 24 hour live feed only online however. Enabling viewers to jump between cameras across the village, to catch up with their favourite housemates.
So yeah - just a little idea I had. Was thinking about expanding on it some day on The Sims or something if I get time, what do you guys think about it?
