The Appeals and Queries forum was added to give the members a chance to converse CALMLY and in private with the mods about infractions and bans that may seem unclear and unfair as well as just asking simple questions like 'How do I underline my posts?' 'What is BB Code?' ETC.

Lately however, members have been using the Appeals forum to whine and bitch and generally abuse both us and other members and we are sick of it. The Appeals forum is a privelage not a right and we take time out of our day to do our best to answer all queries and grievances, we will not put up with this behavior anymore. Here's some tips and things to consider before making an appeals thread.

1. If you're making a thread to contest a ban or an infraction take some time to consider why you were infracted, 99% of the time our infractions are just. You may think that the mods are against you but chances are you done goofed and reflecting on this may change your mind about wasting your time and ours.

2. Polite threads will always get answered fully, rude threads will most likely get a short answer and will be swiftly locked. To put in frankly, if you're gonna act like a bitch you're gonna get treated like a bitch.

3. Never make a thread that's primarily about another member IE 'WHY DIDN'T ROY GET INFRACTED TOO?!' or 'I GOT BANNED BUT KATE DIDN'T?! BIAST!!!!!!21"!'. The Appeals section is for discussing things primarily related to you or to the forum, we will not engage in discussion about other members.

4. Allow some time for a mod to respond, we are not surgically attached to our computers. Sometimes we will not have the tiem to answer a question properly or there may not be anyone online at the time. Don't wait two seconds and spam the forum, sometimes it may take us a few hours to get back to you.

5. Misuse of the Appeals forum will be punished harshly but don't let that put you off posting there if you have a question to ask, like I said before polite and reasonable threads will always be given time. Just don't act like a damn fool.

6. Warnings are just simply warnings, please don't bother appealing them unless they are a blatant mistake.

So yeah, stop acting like messes or bitches gon' get banned. I'll leave this thread open for any questions and if any other mods want to chime in or something.

Mods are as guilty of bitching at times dezzy they are not infallible, appeals section is to help with that too is it not?
If you don't want anyone using it remove it, if a FM has a genuine complaint they can use contact us anyway I suppose.

Agree with Kizzy here it's not all one way there are always two sides to every argument.

You missed the point.

Use the Appeals section but drop the attitude, you should take this thread to heart Kizzy.

No-one said that kizzy.

But its getting really ****ing irritating people heading directly to appeals with every little infraction, and just giving us attitude rather than actually explaining their reasons for appealing and such. Or to moan that someone else hasnt been punished.

Many members have had infractions and bans overturned because of the appeals forum. It seems wrong to take it away for everybody all because of a select few members who abuse it.

Vicky,
I have started a couple of threads in appeals lately not due to infractions but due to offensive remarks made by moderators.
I was advised to do this if I had an issue.
If anyone is sick of the silly remarks and comments then I suggest they stop making them and the forum will be a nice place to be again.

The problem is your Appeal threads are always made with a bad attitude. If you tried to be reasonable and polite for once then we'd take your appeals seriously.

Dezzy I wouldn't be making a thread in appeals if someone didn't have a bad attitude towards me would I?
I am very reasonable and polite dezzy thankyou very much, much more than a few on here I could mention...
But I won't because i'm too polite :joker:
