Sometimes games go great sometimes they fail badly. What games would you feel you'd be mostly dedicated to and which would you like to see made into a TiBB version?

Niamh.

I don't know, most do able things have been done I think but I think something that could be voted on more fairly than the usual popularity contests would be good.

InOne
05-04-2013, 09:57 AM
How could that be done though? Even if there's judges they will always lean towards certain people.

Marc

Games taking out voting are more appealing right now, to reward skill and tactics IMO

Yeah it must be annoying cos a load do take skill and that but then end with a vote and the popular ones win no matter what they've contributed

Niamh.

If there was some sort of a system on how a judge could score people for effort maybe, like how much of a task one person did, how many times they posted etc. Also individual project type tasks could be sent to a panel of judges without being told who did which one

Niamh.
05-04-2013, 10:03 AM
Also, people could be actually told it was against the rules to ask for votes, I know this wouldn't stop everyone from asking some people but it might help, at the moment it's the done thing

I think Munchkins making her voting public helped the voting in Glasshouse

InOne
05-04-2013, 10:05 AM
Yeah definitely, but that also doesn't always work as people get annoyed when people ask them to randomly do things for games

Yet people still made multi's LOL

What I thought was a great idea was what Ben did for one of his Twists in Elimination last time, he told us the wrong people were up so anyone who PM'd Ben to vote got a PM back saying that those people aren't up pick between this person and that person instead

Has there been any other team games apart from the pub quiz?

Niamh.
05-04-2013, 10:16 AM
I'm not sure actually, you get players splitting into to team etc in a lot of the games but I can't think of any other fully team games, which could be a good idea cos I way prefer the whole team thing like in the Pub Quiz

How about some kind of quiz based on "the chase". The questions would have to be laid out in a row with 60 seconds to answer a list of, say 30 questions, where people wouldn't have days to use google / image reverse / song identifying programmes?

InOne
05-04-2013, 10:29 AM
I think for a chase-like game you'd have to do most of it in a chatroom as the forum is just too slow

Jayson(I think) hosted something kind of like that, but it was based on Mastermind, you had to choose a specialist subject (I picked Dexter) and then you had a general knowledge round as well, it wasn't bad but he never finished it lol

..I think the games on TiBB are already great games and there are probably more than most forums have...I don't think the issues are with the games but more the voting systems of some of them...which is indeed a great shame, not only for the people who take their time to run them but also for the participants who are very committed to doing their best, either for themselves or for their team....

I was thinking a while back how to work out a chase type game, couldnt think of a way to do it though without people just googling the answers in another tab

The way I thought to do it would be the Bradley Walsh/TIBB host asks a question, and then posts 5 messages each numbered 1-5 in succession, so contestants in effect, would get about 10-15 seconds to answer each question.

If the host gets to 5 before the contestant answers/answers incorrectly, then obviously it's a question wrong.

Or the host could post the question, and as soon as it's posted, he allows 15 seconds then posts the answer - which would probably be easier, now that I think about it.

A min is way too long - google would probably take 10-15 seconds to find any answer on

Not if it was a TiBB related question

Jesus.
05-04-2013, 01:34 PM
Not if it was a TiBB related question

If it's TIBB related, then you exclude ever having new members take part, and you still wouldn't need a minute to answer a quiz question. You either know it or you don't, and allowing search time still turns it into something that moves away from the chase/quiz show format.

Wanted to create a game where you'd have to go on other forums and find clues on there. You'd log into a pre-made character account each time. Each round/investigation would involve a different forum/website.

But I'm never putting that sort of effort and time into a TiBB game. Someone else can take the idea if they want to. Would need a lot of pre-planning.

it would be great but devestating for the host if it doesn't get the right dedication from forum members

I think timing plays a part. If you make one just after a BB series you'll get a few signing up that aren't really regulars and forget about the game after two or theee days.

Sorry if already posted, if not, what about.... drum roll please....

Three pictures, one person (working title)...

So three pictures with a clue as to what this person does for a living. Here's an example...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/content/images/2007/05/15/barbara_flynn_396x222.jpg http://mauritiusattractions.com/content/images/guide/mauritius-wind.gif http://one04design.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/hand-saw1.jpg

EastEnders actress.

Answer: Barbara Windsor

Obviously the pictures would probably have to be uploaded to another website so as to avoid the answers.

How about Snog, Marry, Avoid? :suspect:

Hear me out, Dragons.

How it works is a member will post three pictures of famous people, asking the question, 'Snog, Marry, Avoid?'.
The next person to post will answer with his/her replies. That person then has a turn.
Then that person posts again showing their three pictures of chosen celebrities. Again, the same three words will be applied to each individual celebrity.

Maybe mix it up sometimes, changing the three to for example... Take on a date, see once never call again, Marry...

Yes, that doesn't have the ring to it that 'Snog, Marry, Avoid?' does however this is a working product. That and the BBC still haven't called me up to make new programmes. :suspect:

So, Dragons, I'm asking for £600,000 for a stake of 13% in the business.

I'm sorry but I have to say that on this occasion I'm out

I have a new idea, '20 questions'...

Slightly different to the usual where you put a sticky note on someone's forehead. Not possible over the net, yet.

Anywho...one person will think of somebody and others try to guess in, well, y'know, 20 questions.

So, once again, chasing cash investment. This time, 35% of the business for £45.67.

If you can come up with a way to make it work, that I happen to agree with, you will forever have legend status in my eyes.

Ryan57
29-04-2013, 07:24 PM
Okay, so I've been to the loo. I brushed my teeth before I went, during which I came up with two ideas. The issue is I've forgotten them. I also didn't spend a great deal of time thinking about games whilst on the loo. I spent more time listening to the radio and thinking about my poo.

Maybe I'll remember them. Issue is, none of them were really that good. Right now, Karl is the only hope.
