X factor producers are reportedly hoping to persuade Noel Gallagher to join the panel this year.

According to the sun, X factor boss Simon Cowell is keen to kids in the oasis start on the show for its 10th series this summer.

The newspaper claims that bosses Have told the locker to name his price after previously declining an offer to join the show back in 2011.

A source told the tabloid today: “Simon is determined to get Noel on board. He sees him as his natural replacement as the real alpha male on the panel.

“He thinks Noel would be ideal, with his music knowledge, straight-talking and rapier wit.”

They added: “Noel’s daughter Anais is a huge fan of One Direction and X Factor, so she’ll be nagging him to say yes.”

But if Noel excepts an offer it could mean goodbye to Louis Walsh, who admitted this week he has yet to sign any contracts.

He said: “We don’t know officially,no one’s been signed.

“There’s rumours about Sharon Osbourne…”

Auditions for the X factor 2013 started in London on Saturday, and continue in Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow this month. Judges auditions will take place later over summer.

would actually watch the show if it was true.

But he is too talented to be on the show anyway.

He's already turned Simon down a few times.

X FACTOR bosses have approached Noel Gallagher for the second time with a “name your price” offer to join the judging panel.
The former Oasis guitarist, 45, has been on Simon Cowell’s wish list for the hit ITV talent show for years.
And in the past fortnight Noel’s management company Ignition received a fresh megabucks offer — asking him to name a price around the £2million mark.
A source said last night: “Simon is determined to get Noel on board. He sees him as his natural replacement as the real alpha male on the panel.
“He thinks Noel would be ideal, with his music knowledge, straight-talking and rapier wit.”
The last time Simon, 53, made a seven-figure offer to the award-winning rock star he was knocked back.

The married dad-of-three was about to launch his critically acclaimed solo project, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
He has just finished touring and is now planning to make “going to the dry-cleaners last a day”.
The source added: “Noel’s daughter Anais is a huge fan of One Direction and X Factor, so she’ll be nagging him to say yes.”
Noel was first approached by Simon in 2011. The rock star told him he wouldn’t like to say lines like, “You know I can only take three into the final, and this is the toughest decision I’ve ever had to make. I left Oasis, but that was nothing compared to this”.
Take That star Gary Barlow is expected to return with Nicole Scherzinger. Sharon Osbourne is also in talks with bosses undecided on Louis Walsh.

If it did happen he'd save the show. I can see why Simon is so keen to get him and isnt his daughter a big fan? Maybe she could persuade him.

I'd start watching it again if he did, although I'd be disappointed if he started towing the party line and doing what he was told

That's exactly why I think he wouldn't do it...he couldn't (and shouldn't) censor himself enough for pre watershed live television for a start....

Apparently Noel said he's do it for a million and Simon is alledged to have offered him 2 millions.

Noel admits he likes X Factor and he doesn't seem that against it. I think he said before if he was offered 1M he would do it, and this offer is 2M. It doesn't seem too unlikely for him to do it. I'd love it! I hope he'd replace Gary though and keep Louis. Noel having ago at Louis with Sharon in the middle would be hilarious.

I don't think he'd do it. There's finding it ok to watch on the TV and then there's being bothered enough to take part in it.

As much as I think he and his brother can be arrogant tossers, he really is above it.

NO! He should never do it. Not because I don't like him, I really like him, but it goes against everything he has stood for in music.

Doubt he'd do it but Simon's 'they'll appeal to middle aged viewers as well as younger viewers' could surely be applied to him? Can't see it though personally

Yeah he'd be great. Calling the biggest selling UK artist of last year 'granny music' he clearly knows what's current atm.
