BEN ELTON
I have just finished reading Ben Elton's book 'Dead Famous'.
Anyone else enjoyed it too ?:joker::joker:

Is it worth getting, Boris?
I've seen it in the shops but I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not.
I've bought it, but haven't got round to reading it yet!
Must remember and put it in my bag for Saturday - it'll keep me amused during my train journey to Manchester.
AAAAAAAARGH! Only 3 days to go! :hello:
I bought it ages and ages ago when it came out in hardback.
I read it and quite enjoyed it, though I must admit I'm not much of a fan of Ben Elton's writing style - I've tried 2 of his books before and this was the first one I managed to finish.

I must admit, I started reading 'Dead Famous' months ago, when someone lent it to me. I didn't really get into it and returned it without completing it.
Lo and behold, for my birthday a couple of weeks back, No 1 son bought it for me. So I suppose I will have to try again.
Like Lee, I'm not particularly enamoured of his style. However, he has put an individually named dedication to all BB1, BB2 and Australian BB contestants in it.
At least he, unlike LWT realises that without the Goldfish, the bowl would be raher empty!

Don't think I would have bought it. I borrowed it from a colleague.Although I enjoyed it I found it hard to 'get into' and must confess to 'cheating' and reading the end to stimulate my interest then Had to keep going to see how it got around to the conclusion.
I did enjoy 'Inconceivable' but also borrowed that. Yes I've been rummb;ed I am tight with money !
