Rumors have been circulating the internet for months that there may be a chance of a “Friends” reunion in the near future.

Good news for all you “Friends” fans out there… NBC just confirmed it is indeed happening according to Star Media. Not only are they having a reunion but they are reportedly having a full comeback season.

The new season of “Friends” is set to launch in 2014 yet it is still unknown whether all of the original actors will be returning to reprise the roles that made them all famous.

How great would it be to see Rachel, Monica, Joey, Phoebe, Chandler and Ross all back together again? We hope it happens.

Meh, I'd wait until NBC actually confirms it, I doubt it's true.

I've just heard this too....

I honestly don't think it should anyway. It will never be the same now I don't think....A one off to see where they are all at maybe but not a full series....(I LOVE Friends btw)

Yeah, they'd just ruin it tbh. Like with Sex and the City, the first film was great to see them all what they were doing etc but then they spoiled it all by making the second

Don't want everyone to be getting false hope Lee and then be all disappointed after

When will people stop believing this bollocks?

They don't need to do anymore it will only spoil it.

Wouldn't be right seeing Monica with her botoxed face.

I wasn't a fan, at all, but it would have been nice with BB seeming to be getting it's biggest shake up since BB5, to see it back for one more run.

I know, title amended, I was quoting the article, which did claim it confirmed.

I wouldn't want another series, they would probably ruin it somehow.

I'd quite like another series, if it's crap it's crap, at least they tried giving it one more go

But yeah, won't happen

This, although it's the same every year, whether it's a Freinds movie in the works or a one-off Thanksgiving Day special... it just isn't happening

Marsh.

Also, they don't live in the iconic apartments anymore so wouldn't be the same.

It's best left alone, just a 10 year snapshot from their 20s-30s. We don't need to see them all old.

Probably in the minority but I never liked it the first time round

I very much doubt it will happen but to be honest I don't think it would be that hard to get them all back together if NBC flaunted enough cash. They've all had moderate success off the back of it but only Jennifer Aniston has had long lasting success. Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow have done nothing in the last few years. Matt Le Blanc's career tanked with the spin off Joey and has only just really started to recover with Episodes. Courtney Cox has done other network shows but the only films I can recall her in are the Scream ones. David Schwimmer voices an animated giraffe, and has done some directing, but that's it. Even Jennifer Aniston hasnt done a good film lately. So if there is enough money in it I think they would do it.

Getting a million dollars an episode towards the end I very much doubt they're hard up for money. Matt le Blanc even said he didn't bother going to auditions or reading new scripts, he just took the money from Friends and went off to enjoy life. Can't blame him.

Matthew Perry's done a lot of TV work as well, I just don't think many of them have been shown over here.

Jake.
17-04-2013, 05:54 PM
Yeah, they would have each got 20 odd million from Season Ten alone... mad really

Lisa Kudrow was in Easy A, Matthew Perry was in that film with Zac Efron, the title of which escapes me... they're all still doing bits and pieces, because they enjoy acting evidently, I doubt they'd ever have to work another day in their lives with all the money they have if they didn't want to. We were discussing this last night in the chat thread, I think it would be a bad idea if it returned for a season. A film might be good, but a season would be silly.

She was really good in Horrible Bosses which was pretty recent

She was brilliant in Horrible Bosses, it was good to see her in a different role.

Yes please. I hope this is true. All 6 friends back for a FRIENDS union. An 11th series :D Hope Paul Rudd comes back too as Phoebe's hubby  I really hope something happens!

I would watch it purely for the nostalgia but to be honest it wouldn't work. Like someone else said, the old apartment wouldn't be in it because they sold it and moved out, if we're going on the spin off, Joey doesn't live in his apartment anymore unless I'm mistaken. I didn't watch Joey.

The only ones left in New York would be Ross, Rachel and Emma and Phoebe and Mike and any children theyve had in the last ten years. Who knows if they're even still be living in New York?

I always imagined that if it did come back for a one off special, it would be Ross and Rachel getting married, properly and sober. They got back together but that was it.

Tbf that is one situation which would work, or all of them going on a trip/holiday or something..

Marsh.
17-04-2013, 06:32 PM
Yeah I suppose a trip might work.

Like a feature length version of the London or Las Vegas episodes.

But I still think too much time has passed. Might come across as a bit sad trying to act like their old characters.

Jake.
17-04-2013, 06:50 PM
Yeah that's true.. wouldn't want to see Pheobe get in to the taxi with a walking stick

I think her and Jennifer look pretty much the same. The boys look older and Courtney looks like a bad advert for plastic surgery.

Jake.
17-04-2013, 07:06 PM
I was being sarcastic  her and Jennifer look great still, but yeah Matt Le Blanc and Monica have aged the worse imo

Marsh.
17-04-2013, 07:12 PM
I don't think Matt le Blanc has aged that much at all. The only major difference is the grey hair and he used to dye that even in the 90s.

David Schwimmer looks rough though. Lol
