Emily Marsh has suffered from hiccups for the past ten weeks, despite trying a variety of home remedies.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast, the 13-year-old said she had tried to cure it by holding her breath, breathing into a paper bag and eating a spoonful of sugar.

The student said that she had undergone many medical tests, but doctors had not found an explanation for her long-lasting hiccups.

This would be so infuriating, I hate getting hiccups, sometimes they even hurt a little bit if they go on for too long, that must be so agonising!

Same here, i ****ing hate the Hiccups, if I have them for more than 10 minutes I have to make myself sick to get rid of them, it's a bit gross but it always works
