The X factor 2013 live shows could see the voting stats revealed live in an effort to boost ratings.
The methods of revealing the outcome of the public votes was tested over in the States last year and now the UK show is set to follow suit.
Bosses apparently hope it will stop shock exits such as Ella Henderson’s last year.
A source said: “Simon is hoping this will encourage the public to vote for the people who deserve to be there.
“It’s where give viewers more control and stop any backlash.”
It was also recently reported that this year’s live finals will see another new twist with free online voting.
Again, the US version of the show has given users the ability to cast their votes in a number of different ways, including via social networks such as Twitter.
Channel 5, Sky 1 and the BBC have all experimented with free online voting, but producers were said to be reluctant over fears it would cut the money made from the phone votes.
