I am currently plagued with one of the worst colds in the history of mankind. I have had it since late Friday/early Saturday. I feel like I am about to die. Mucus is everywhere.

Normally, I would just wait this out but I have a public event I have to attend in four hours. I have to somehow get rid of this cold by then. I have already taken more than the recommended dose of cold medication, and though I have ruined my liver, the cold is still going strong.

I need advice on how to beat this cold within the next three and a half hours.

I don't think you can get rid of a cold in 3 hours Roy,maybe put a towel over your head and steam it out,or something like Olbas or Vicks might help.have you got to sit by anyone? if so the latter could make you pong a bit,but it may ease your symtoms and be sure to take plenty of tissues, good luck:hugesmile:

Only weak people get colds. I never get sick. I'm not bragging or being arrogant. I'm just saying.

Looks like you'll have to cancel, Roy.

..the only thing I can suggest to try to feel better in such a short time Roy, is to take Contact400..it dries your cold up with the mucus etc..but I wouldn't take it for very long as it can dehydrate you as well..maybe just for today..are you able to get to a pharmacy at all..?...

Won't just be a cold you have to worry about if you don't start posting your threads in the right sections

Eat lots of raw garlic and take a decongestant

Taking your cold to a public event will make you very unpopular. Most colds take 7 days to go through the system so I advise cancelling and staying indoors on your own.

Coconut Oil

I just put some up my nose, but nothing happened?

What kind was it, it has to be virgin, unrefined.

And just put a teaspoonful into a glass of hot water and drink it.

Can you buy that in any supermarket or do you get it in Health Shops?

Nah the stuff available in the supermarkets and most health shops is processed, it's easier to buy online.

That probably means you have the wrong kind, it needs to be raw, unprocessed..

Melted into tea or a broth, coconut oil can gently soothe a sore throat and ease coughing in addition to boosting immunity and fighting the virus directly. It can also be mixed with oatmeal and other warm cereals. Or you can try coconut milk in a smoothie. All of these options may appeal to someone who is sick and may not feel like eating heavy foods. However if it is consumed, coconut oil will provide many benefits to cold sufferers.

This is the one I use or sometimes one from Tropical Traditions.
