I remember feeling crushed. It was a brand new TiBB game and I remember feeling overjoyed when I qualified for the second round. Sam! was making games all over TiBB and I guess I just figured I was a shoe in for a top 20 finish. I hadn't been posting as much on the forum at that time, but I was so sure I was going to make it. The embarrassment when I finished 50th was the most humiliating moment of my life on TiBB. I remember Jessica's cruel taunts that "gingers aren't winners" and 30stone telling me that "maybe you'd do better if you benched more." I couldn't take it anymore. I logged out that night in tears. It only got worse from there...

Chapter 7 - 46 [preview]

I had finally returned to the Most Loved fold. The competition was in its fourth incarnation, and with Zee returning to present for a second competition running, I felt safe in the knowledge that there wasn't going to be any cheating going on with the votes. I was so sure that Sam! had made a mistake. He must have cheated. How else could I have come 50th? I had been making a bit of a comeback on the forum, I had even learned not to call people "faily bastards" when they made fun of my beautiful hair. The day I stopped taking advice from Patrick was a sensible day. I qualified for Round 2. I was thrilled. I knew that I had to at least do better than 50th or I would be a laughing stock. I remember the delight I felt as Braden was announced as the 50th placed contestant. I called him ginger, even though he wasn't. I had become everything I had once hated. I prayed that Patrick would be called out next, the faily bastard. The moment those words had shot out of my fingers, through my keyboard and onto my screen, the news broke. I was 46th. I don't remember what happened next. I know that I blacked out and it delayed the news of KG coming 45th, but nobody really knew how long I was out cold for. BB Eye and ILoveTRW tried to soften the blow by saying my time would come soon, surely next year I would break the top 40, but all I could focus on was the fact they were both still in the competition and they were probably being insincere. It hurt to watch Patrick reach the top 40, and then the top 30, and then the top 20. Devastated, I turned my laptop off and vowed never to let being ginger stop me from doing well again. I could still hear GypsyGoth's cruel cackle of "'e is a stupide fraise-blond!" To this day I still don't know why she was pretending to be French, although part of me thinks she was making fun of Captain.Remy too. I couldn't let her equate being ginger with being French any longer. I knew things had to change...

Chapter 9 - I'm not a faily bastard, not yet a gypsy goth [preview]

Tears. A throbbing erection. A packet of party rings. Just some of the things involved in that fateful night when Most Loved 5 rolled around. I had qualified again, and this time I had prepared for it. Sexual favours were in full force, I had made sure all recent photos of myself were in black and white so that potential voters weren't put off by my sunset rouge locks and I'd pretended to like Ben so that he'd vote for me. It hadn't been easy. I had been spreading lies about GypsyGoth and Patrick for weeks, hoping that InOne would believe that GypsyGoth "totes has a set of teeth instead of a nipple on her left boob, honest." I should have felt shame, but no amount of shame would top the shame I had felt coming 46th last time. The gamble had paid off. Patrick had been a faily bastard and had finished 33rd. I remember giving Chuck a celebratory hand job as we both cruised into the top 30. Then I remember giving him a celebratory middle finger as he finished 21st and I secured a spot in the top 20. I was taking no prisoners. I had offered to be Iceman's slave for 5 points, but that's not the same thing. Ultimately, I finished 15th, but it wasn't enough for me. I could only fizz with anger as I watched GypsyGoth finish 2nd again for the third time. Of course, at least she hadn't won, but the smug look on her face as she sauntered up to the podium, and gave her little acceptance speech, it was all just too much. "I'd like to thank my parents for my good genes, I couldn't have won the silver if I'd had freckles and a pale complexion, that's for sure!" I was angry. Novo's booming laugh echoed around my head for weeks. I had to beat her. I'd beaten Patrick, I'd beaten off MTVN, I'd let Vicky beat me up in a sex dungeon, but I hadn't beaten GypsyGoth. I had to take it one step further...

- As of Most Loved 8, Most Loved will have been running for 4 years. I have been presenting it for 3 of them, and I want a goddamn medal.

- Ross is the only winner of Most Loved to never reappear. He ran Most Loved 2 and withdrew himself from participation, and then swiftly disappeared from the forum, reappearing every now and then but never for a particularly long time.

- There have never been more females than males in the top 10; in Most Loved 2 and 3 it was 5 apiece (GypsyGoth, Enid, Niamh, Stacey & Vicky; Vicky, Niamh, GypsyGoth, Stacey & MissKittyFantastico respectively).

I do agree with most of your points Ammi, but as a parent as well you and I know young people can make mistakes and can learn and can be regretful and can move on or not as the case may be. Both of the people mentioned in your post were both very young when they joined the forum so we could cut a little bit of slack to them both maybe, but I do agree with the points you make as well.

Chapter 12 - I love poo and I was number 2 [preview]

Something felt different about this year. I felt a fresh confidence as Most Loved 6 rolled around. Perhaps it was the way I typed MOD, or maybe it was because I felt comfortable posting polls about poo on the forum, but for some reason, I felt a serene calm wash over me when the nominations opened. I felt safe, knowing that after my 15th place finish in ML5, people would probably nominate me through to the second round in ML6. I mean, surely they had to, I'd spent half an hour making out with Niamh and given her a sack of potatoes; and I'd given Samuel a tour of TiBB as well as a tour of my bedroom - there was no way I wasn't going to qualify. I was happy when I was announced as being qualified for Round 2, and I set about my plan to sabotage GypsyGoth. Last time, I'd tried spreading lies about her, but that hadn't worked - Ninastar had actually given GypsyGoth points because of the teeth for nipples rumour, and CharlieO had even offered to eat a loaf of bread if he could see them. No, this time, I had a much better plan. I was going to do absolutely nothing. And also give her crabs. I remember when Zee was announced as being 16th and thinking "thank **** that little slut is out of the way." It meant either I was going to come 15th again, or I was going to improve my position. Livia was 15th. My pants almost ripped off I was so excited. Yes, I had a boner. I posted a thread about it and also mentioned poo in it, just because. I was so sure it was my poo obsession that had earned me more points this time around. I cackled as Josy, Kate and Jords fell in quick succession, and I suddenly realised I was on the verge of breaking the top 10. GypsyGoth was still in the competition though. I glared at her, hoping that her crotch was burning with crabby pestilence, but as it turned out, I hadn't given her crabs, I'd given her grabs, and she was just amused by the fact I'd grabbed her bum. I didn't really know what I was doing. I think I was distracted by the fact I was touching her bum and she might have done a poo recently. I don't know, I was pretty messed up back then. Ammi tried helping me but I messed it up by asking her if I could use her toilet. Anyway, I'll never forget what happened next. GypsyGoth was announced as being 11th. I had made the top 10, and I had finished higher than her. It took two washes in the washing machine to get the stains out of my jeans, let me tell you all right now. My triumphant march up the leaderboard ultimately ended in a 2nd place finish. I had stolen 2nd place from GypsyGoth. I had almost won the whole thing too, Nathan had only won by one point. I knew then that I was going to have to sabotage him too. Nobody puts ginger in the corner...
