I seldom drink tea, but if I was to, I would put in the hot water first.

This.
I'm sorry but putting milk in before the water is morally wrong and degrading to all tea lovers.

..it also seems to stop the tea from brewing properly as well...I make it the same as you although I have to admit, I've probably only made about 3 cups of tean in my life...

..my mum still does that..I think she threatened to throw me out for mentioning the word teabag once...and it has to be a china cup as well, not a mug...

tea bag, hot water, milk, then another bit of hot water so more tea comes out of the teabag, then the sweetener (that's when I ever make my mum one, I don't drink tea)
for coffee I go coffee, sugar, shake the cup gently so it all mixes together, then water, then milk
can I call you mother?:joker:
No you certainly cannot :idc:

How the hell can you put the milk in first for coffee? it's made with hot Water before it's even coffee.
Do you put milk in the water tank or something? i'm confused.

yu must be talking about that freeze-dried instant crap. That's not coffee.
Calling freeze-dried instant coffee Coffee is like calling a pickle a cucumber, or a raisin a grape.
It's not the same

y'all supposed to put milk in first so that it doesn't burn the coffee

I agree, I always make and need a pot of tea anyway.
Tea first though then the milk for me.
Don't drink tea so just answered for coffee, I always used to go coffee > water > sugar > milk, but then someone on here (think it was Hennesey) made a thread saying the perfect way to make coffee was sugar > coffee > milk > water and I've been doing that ever since
Still tastes exactly the same but it's habit y'know

I get the mug, put the tea bag in the mug, then poor water in, then put the sugar ON the tea bag for extra strongness, then take the tea bag out of the mug (put that in the bin), then I put my milk in and briskly stirr the tea, then discard the spoon, then wait and drink it.

this poll has restored my faith in humanity
my mum has a habit of putting in milk with the teabag first and I once even stabbed her for it :joker: :elephant: :cat:
The milk clogs up the tiny holes in the tea bag so you can't get a proper strong cup of tea..
In tea milk in last, but in coffee milk in first
