cos i wasn't but my year had injections today D: they were horrible o m g, after i got all sweaty and pale and sick so this guy in my class took me back and i ended up lying down on a crash mat playing on my ipod for the rest of the lesson which was kinda fun tbh but still injections <<<<
so what's your story
Vicky.

I dont mind injections tbh
I hate having blood took though, ever since I had to get 7 tubes done at the same time and nearly passed out. Then a few months back some twat of a nurse collapsed y vein when trying to get blood from the arm I knew she wouldnt be able to get it from..so now I hate it even more :bored:

I never used to be scared of needles but a few years ago I had this blood test and the nurse kept messing up, blood started spurting out of my arm instead of into the little capsule for the blood at one point and both my arms were covered in bruises afterwards :bawling: So since then I've been a bit nervous

Ironically, I had blood samples taken today. Miserable cow the nurse was. Only hurt a tiny bit when she removed the needle. Snatched it out she did.
Then, as I had just walked out the door the fellow nurse said, 'What's wrong with you today?'.

Yeah. She was such a bitch. So moody.
Then with the cotton bud they give you, it was 'Hold that'... no polite, 'Now hold this please'. Total cow.

No, injections don't bother me one bit, I'd actually rather have an injection than medicine or tablets.

My eldest son had his last year, he said some people in his form had to be carted off ashen faced. Still a few free lessons can't be bad. I don't mind injections, blood tests though I can feel myself getting faint typing about them.

Yeah, Injections are ok I suppose, but if I had to have them everyday like some people have to then not sure I would be so keen then, even if needs be. With having blood taken, like yourself Vicky, I am not so keen, as they do seem to mess it up a lot of the time, and I usually end up with a huge bruise after numerous attempts by them to get blood out of me

I have had blood taken 5 times in my life (4x in the past year or so) and only twice has there not been some kind of problem. Funnily enough, the only times there wasnt a problem was when I agreed to let a trainee/student practice on me
So those qualified dont know what the **** they are doing, yet someone who is just learning does :D

I had to inject myself twice daily a couple of years ago so I got used to injections. Having blood taken is a different matter, I have never had it taken from my arms where you should as my veins are really deep, I had to have it taken usually from my hands but once they had to get it from the back of my knee.....that was pleasant!

Strictly on medical instructions....not for fun :nono:
Although having all the paraphernalia round the house including sharps bins for used needles got me a few funny looks from visitors who didn't know why I was using them. (saying I'm off to shoot up usually put their minds at rest)
Jesus.

Nope...
Don't mind them that much, not a fan of dentist injections though because even though it doesn't hurt the thought of a needle being stuck in your gums is horrible

I'm not as scared of injections as the sicknesses I'd get without them

I'm more scared of peeling off the tape that the cotton bud is attached to. Just removed mine and it felt like I'd been taken up the arse in prison.

But Marcus, it feels like a pot spout being poked up your arse.
Fortunately, the pain is about 1 second long.
Marcus.

aye just the longer you do it slowy the longer it going to hurt
Nope, neither injections or having blood taken bother me in the slightest.
Having an intravenous needle inserted was ****ing agony though. The bloody needle's about as thick as a straw

**** scared
I thought I was dying in hospital and refused a blood test. I can't imagine anything that would convince me to get one.

I'm not scared of them as such, but they are not the most pleasant of experiences. Worst ones I have had have been in my knees and knuckles. :bawling:

they're okay. I kinda like the numbness of the anaesthetic that comes before it.
