I'm the first to say live and let live but really this piece of nonsense belongs in the rubbish bin. A weird slice of alternate reality where gay is straight and straight is gay is thought provoking but that's all.

I think we live in a tolerant society where all people are accepted but I for one am starting to feel uncomfortable with this sort of blatant Heterophobic propaganda. If you push the pro Gay lobby too far then you must expect a backlash of moral & religious indignation.

It's not heterophobic, nor is it promoting or even making out that we should all live as homosexuals...it's highlighting what it's like for gay children growing up in a community where it's seen as disgusting to be gay, that it's a sin, goes against God's wishes etc etc. It's supposed to make the bible bashing homophobes that act like this see how it'd feel if they were treated like that. I honestly thought that was pretty obvious to work out about two minutes into the film.

Just doing a simple video of a tormented gay child/teenager would've sufficed to communicate the message. They tried to be clever and do a Black Mirror-esque premise but it failed.

The comments in this thread show just how far we have to go. Anyone who thinks equality is even CLOSE to being achieved, this thread has proven that exactly the opposite is true. We are no where near equality, unfortunately.

The level of ignorance is astounding. That people here think that this movie was being dramatic, that it's not EXACTLY what reality IS in this world right now. Wow most of society is so blind and ignorant.

Maybe you guys missed the bit at the end that mentioned that EVERY single scene in the movie was a TRUE story.

Maybe you missed the bit where the majority of posters pointed out that the film has a valuable message. However, I feel the film failed in what it set out to do.

That in no way makes me homophobic or ignorant. It just means I'm able to point out a ****e film when I see one regardless of its intent.
