View Full Version : McDonald's is getting slack

The thing that bugs me most now about McDonald's is it takes bloody ages. I've sometimes stood there for like 10 minutes. I'm not one of those fussy eaters either I only order a large Big Mac meal. They just can't seem to deal with amount of people these days and everything just gets clogged up. Probably to do with the fact they're trying to serve three people at once as well. Maybe it's just the ones in Yorkshire, I dunno.

But they won't be getting my custom anymore if they keep it up :idc:

It's not first come first serve at my regular one, a few people ordered a Mcflurry (me first) and I was the last to get my order, same with burger orders. :bored:

Go in with your phone in your hand as if you are timing it... IF they notice the phone, they will think you are a mystery shopper (especially with you ordering a big mac meal) and serve you in the time they are supposed to.

This has worked for me for months and months, ever since I registered on a mystery shopper site and found out this is how they evaluate mcdonalds :p

It's even worse waiting on a drive through then after you pay they tell you to park up and they will bring it over, fgs I wouldn't be going through the drive through in the first place if I wasn't in a hurry you *****.

Sounds good LOL but it's always awkward now because when they're serving more than one at a time you've got people hanging around the side of the tills not really knowing where to stand. Saying that though they've always been awful with queues. It's basically who can jump to the till first.

Literally the only time they've ever been quick with me is at 3:45 every weekday - and I have to time it to be around that time or else they'll take ages.

It seems like at that time at the branch I go to, they always have Mayo Chicken sandwhiches sitting already made and heated - so when I ask for one, they give me it within a minute and then I hop on my bus home.

Any other time though, they do take absolutely ******ing ages and it's a disgrace.

I can come in and ask for a small portion of fries - some family could come in after me and order a massive meal, mcflurries and everything - and they'll get served before me. It's a joke.

No they are having Problems every place

Never really been bothered about waiting, it's a pretty demanding Job when their are only a few of them working there, feel really bad when you go in and there is a massive queue and you see them all going back and forth and trying to keep up, got nothing but respect for people who can work in situations like that rather then sitting on your ass in an office all day inputting data for twice the wage

I can't say I've noticed if they're fat or not. It's McDonald's fault for not training people properly.

I love how they're now trying to dress McDonald's up as some homely restaurant where you can pop in for a nice meal and a coffee yet it's still the same chavs that mostly frequent it.

The Polish have either gone or moved up the ladder. It's mostly Romanians and Slovakians working there now.

..I'm sorry Arista but we're going to have to disagree about this...you say that you would employ Polish people because UK people are lazy..?...but to me that just makes you what you accuse them of...a lazy employer who wants the most back for the least input and maybe the lowest wage as well..?...so really that isn't the answer at all and not only hypocritical but very discriminatory....

..Arista, you're always saying..can you put this or that country in the title..like you're very proud to be British..but you won't employ any because you think they may require a bit more effort..?...but they're the lazy ones..?...

EDIT:..as an employer, it's also up to you to motivate people to want to work for you and to enjoy the job they do more...if that isn't worth the effort and it's better to take an easier option, then you're letting those 'lazy' young people down as well...so where's the motivation for them to want to become anything else..?....

..yeah, I do understand what you're saying Arista....to get your return quicker for the least effort could still be described as a 'lazy' option..which is exactly what you're saying about young UK people..and most successful businesses are just so because they think of long term and not the 'quick return'....you have to invest more than just money in a good business...

Is it just Liverpool/Merseyside or have they scraped Quarter Pounder meals everywhere now? Went into one the other day and they gave me a Chigago burger alternative LOL (Tastes of America). Wish they wouldn't make the buns all spicy and coat the thing with mayonnaise (which I usually like) and lettuce. :bored:

..that's very commendable, Arista...and as a CEO, I'm sure that you also appreciate the value of investing your time in training and motivating your staff in their workplace..and give them more incentive than to just 'be lazy'...which obviously benefits you and your business and helps to keep that life in the fast lane.....

They are fast as hell in America. There was this one in San Diego I would go to, where the food would be ready literally seconds after I ordered it. I was barely even done filling up my drink by the time it'd be ready.
