I know this isn't exactly a news story or as pressing as 100-so people dying but it really touched me earlier when I saw it.. this is just lovely. Something so nice amongst all this devestation.

Oh, the whole thing is so upsetting but that was just so touching, the poor little fella looked so bewildered.

I was watching this on the News when the reporter saw the dog half hidden under the debris and told the lady her dog was alive......

Gotta say it brought more than a tear to my eyes !!!!!

I completely lost it when she said her two prayers had been answered, I was sitting here bawling going "ohhhhh" and generally being quite grateful that I'm living alone and no one was about to walk in and judge me.

Amazing that they both survived while the entire house was destroyed around them. She said she always had a plan to go to that specific bathroom if a storm hit, looks like it was a good plan. I wonder if bathrooms are the safest place to go because everything is pretty much bolted in, so it's not like other rooms where furniture is loose.

I think people tend to get into their bath tubs and put Mattresses on top of them Alex

Sounds like a good strategy. I have a queen sized mattress so that wouldn't be a possibility for me. I do wonder what i would do if a big earthquake hit me. I live on the 3rd floor and we don't get as much warning for earthquakes as they do for tornados.
