Nah I dont really care
Really? At your age?
Although, I was nervous on the day of my 18th birthday and my 18th birthday party. I was kind of scared of being allowed to drink alcohol
Marsh.
21-05-2013, 11:55 PM
I've been freaking out since I turned 18.
When someone asks me my age and I tell them, in my head I'm thinking "No, that can't be right". Time has started going so quickly.
Benjamin

21 - 28 have been pretty good for me tbf. I've been to uni, made some great friends, travelled several times, lived in various countries, managed a business, been made redundant (okay that's not so good) and had a pretty good time.

Thats why 30 is scary, cause I feel 20's is the best time to do all that kinda stuff
Benjamin
22-05-2013, 12:59 AM
The 20's are, but you can travel whenever.
Turning 20 freaks me out a bit, cos it seems like that's the age where everything starts becoming more real

Yeah, I used to look at people who were my age and think they were so grown up and now I'm that age it's all a bit weird.
Glenn.
22-05-2013, 01:30 AM
I'm dreading hitting 30 tbh
I'm dreading turning 25 this year. I wish time would just stand still and let me be forever youthful.
Marsh.
22-05-2013, 01:33 AM
Yeah, isn't 25 where they say you reach the peak of physical fitness and then beyond that the only way is down?
Glenn.

for me, 24 just sounds really older than 22 and 23 for some reason, closer to 25..
when I was 13 I was dreading 16..when I was 16 I was dreading 18...18 dreading 21..21 dreading 24...and so forth
Don't think it will ever stop lol

Now that i'm 31 I do feel ashamed of my age.
Everyone that dreads 30, let me tell you, it is as bad you think it will be. It's a horrible age.
Vicky.

Just being so old that I find it hard to get around and go about my life..though that could also happen if I became disabled, so the thought of that freaks me out too
BEN STOP MAKING US ALL FEEL LIKE WE'RE GETTING OLD!!!! l
Vicky.

We are though. Every second that goes by you are closer to dying. Does that make you feel good?
Meh I don't particularly care. But Ben seems obsessed with age with his recent threads

It's not really something that you can decide to refuse though, is it? I was perfectly fine not existing billions of years before being born, and I'm fairly sure that will the case after my expiry date.
As Socrates said (I'm paraphrasing) "When I am, death cannot be, and when death is, I cannot be" Nothing to fear at all.

well of course it won't matter once we are actually dead. but we are humans, and we want to control everything, and we all think we are the center of the universe.

If you were given the opportunity to live forever, would you take it?
Absolutely. If i could live forever i would be invincible. I could shape the world however i liked it, because anyone who opposed me could not kill me. I could call myself a God and challenge anyone to try to kill me, and prove that i was invincible. I could convince humanity to worship me.
They could lock me away in a prison for life, but eventually someone would take pity on me and set me free again.
Who wouldn't want to live forever?
Jesus.

You really need to work on your self confidence.
I have no desire to live forever.

Why not? Life is interesting. I want to see what happens next. Death would be boring.
Jesus.
22-05-2013, 09:38 AM
I do understand that perspective, but I'm not sure once real aging sets in that many people would want to go on infinitely.
If I could stay like I am now forever, that would be great.
Aw no body replied with 'stone age' trollolololololol

Think hes having a midlife crisis tbh :idc:
Well, Matthew Perry said he had his midlife crisis in his 20s, does happen.
If you were given the opportunity to live forever, would you take it?
That sounds like hell. Not only would life get incredibly boring but if you take death out of the equation, it kind of reduces your quality of life if that makes sense.
You stop trying to make your life matter and lose the motivation to do things. If you lived forever you'd be constantly thinking "Oh, I've got ages to achieve those goals and do those things" and they'd never get done. You'd stop appreciating stuff.
:laugh2:
