View Full Version : Are you fussy when it comes to food?

Food threads yay <3.

Basically over the past few months I've realised my food pallet has probably got exceedingly worse over the years. I don't eat food much at all, I don't particularly like eating food, it's just something I do, I rarely get excited for the thought of eating (unless it's like a chicken curry) and I barely eat dinner anymore, I legit have pizza or cheese and beans on toast like twice a week and that is that...

I'm probably the fussiest eater on here, but are you fussy, or will you taste new things and have varied meals throughout the week?

Jake.

Yeah I probably realise that, that sounds really unhealty and I should do something, but urgh, eating nono. I'd rather just get away with drinking tea all day.

Fussy in terms of the food has to be from certain places. Aldi's fruit is woeful. Tesco's destroys it.

Pasta is, well, pasta. Get it from Tesco but doesn't really matter. Whereas fish, prefer Aldi's balsa fish to Tesco's paltry offering in that category.

Yeah, fussy. xD.

I'm not fussy but I have a very limited range of foods I eat, that's more down to my culinary ignorance and laziness though

I used to be as a teenager, but since I came to uni and started eating out with friends (notice the 'with' in that sentence, deviants :idc:) I've sort-of realised it's annoying and a bit silly.

That said, there are some tastes I still hate - mushrooms, strong garlic (I hate garlic bread, but don't mind garlic used in sauces or something where it's not the main flavour), cherries...

I'd love to enjoy lots of food though, my family have so much variety, they'll make chilli and hot-pots and stuff, and I'm all like 'can I have a chicken kiev or a burger plz?'

I am very fussy. Ill probably try like 2 new foods per year and if I don't like it then it takes me like a whole 6 months to even agree to try something new.

I'm not particularly fussy, but there are things I won't try because I don't like the thought of them. And I don't like anything fishy. Except crab sticks... and they're not really fish anyway.

I don't think there is anything I wouldn't try, however I do tend to avoid unhealthy stuff, but yea I am quite adventurous when it comes to food.

Other than trying to eat as little in the way of meat as I can, no I am not fussy.

If out with others or a guest at someone elses home whatever, I always just eat what is being prepared even meat then too.

I'll eat pretty much anything. My brother used to have a friend who was so fussy he wouldn't eat meals if any of the separate foods were touching, so having a sauce with pasta or a steak or something was out of the question. He would have to eat each food separately, he hated condiments etc... very odd. I don't know anything about the guy now, I don't know if he maybe had some kind of OCD, but it was really weird...

There was a film I watched where a guy with ocd did stuff like that with his food.

I'm really only fussy when it comes to seafood, especially sushi.

I don't like fish with any bones in it, if i find even 1 small bone i can't eat any more of it. and the skin has to be taken off. I won't eat anything that you have to smash open and dissect. I like crab and lobster, but i won't eat it if i have to crack it open and pull the meat out myself. I won't eat anything with eel or octopus on it, and i'm very picky about the color too.

Same. One fish bone and its meal over for me. And I won't eat anything that's still looking at me! I love lobster, prawns and crab, but I don't want their corpse on my plate, just the meat thank you very much.

I also won't eat anything like kidney, liver, heart etc and although I eat chicken, beef and pork, I won't touch lamb or rabbit or pigeon or anything unusual.

I love trying new foods and have eaten Crocodile,Kangaroo,Squid,Octopus,Dog,Horse,Squirre l ,Ostrich and 1000 day duck egg etc but you can keep fish that is just disgusting.
I love seafood like mussels, prawns, cockles, crab,Lobster (molluscs and shellfish are good) and even crabsticks which are just the sausages of the fish world but fish is vile thats about the only food i cant stand.

I wouldn't say I was really fussy but I like what I like. Though, being a vegetarian, if you're sometimes in a restaurant with not many options and they say 'The vegetarian option is' and you don't like it they're flummoxed, as if you have to like all other food just because you don't eat meat or fish.

But mostly I can easily find something to eat on a menu and I cook different meals every night for dinner.

I am not really fussy at all, there's just a small amount that I don't eat, apart from being allergic to eggs.

I used to think that lamb was just a name for a type of sheep meat, I didn't realise they actually killed lambs for it.

I am a food snob now, my sis was going to buy scotch eggs for her lad today, and she put them back due to the horror on my face!

I've never had a scotch egg, I think I'd try one just for the experience.

And like your son I haven't touched it since I found out :worship:
