Finally! No less than SEVEN years after Paris Hilton tried to launch a pop career with Stars Are Blind – she’s managed to secure herself another lucrative record deal.
Stop laughing, this has actually happened and it’s the best thing to happen to music since N-Dubz split up.
It will be her second album (what do you mean you’ve not overplayed her debut?) and the singer, ahem, will be releasing the disc on label Cash Money.
The label is co-founded and operated by Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Birdman” Williams, who made the announcement on Twitter.
Paris will be represented by rapper Lil Wayne’s empire Young Money Management and joins a roster that includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and Soulja Boy.
So we’re basically expecting the ditzy blonde millionaire to ‘spit lyrics in the booth’, sure.
The music sensation was revealed from Cannes by Showbizz411, Paris confessed she was recording a new record that will be a completely different style to her breathy pop vibes.
She said: “This is a lot different than my first album. It’s really going to be house music.”
Paris will work alongside ex-boyfriend and DJ supremo Afrojack who has spoken about working with the socialite.
Trying to convince the world – and probably himself – it’s not a ridiculous collaboration he explained: "She's been going out to raves for15 years.
"She told me - ever since she was a little kid - and she loves dance music, so I gave her some dance tracks."
Birdman revealed on Twitter the new album will be ‘dropped’ very soon. Which is good news for everyone.
It's a double celebration because she says she’s planning to marry her toyboy boyfriend River Viiperi – and the wedding could be this year.
The heiress, 32, has been dating model River, 21, for eight months but sees it all moving to the altar.
River has called Paris his “future wife” and when we spoke to her in Cannes, she revealed: “It could happen soon... I trust him with my life and that means the world to me more than anything.”
Well, almost anything, as sources reckon Paris – worth an estimated £66million – and her lawyers would insist on a pre-nup in case the couple don’t live happily ever after.
