First reports just coming in indicate that the Convention HAS taken place at a hostlery in or around south Manchester.
Twenty two "fans of Big Brother" were seen till the early hours of Sunday the 3rd of November in an orgy of drunken excess and musical affray. Whilst some were seen chatting to football fans, others went for an "early night"!
Staff members at the hotel are quoted as saying, allegedly, that it all got badly out of hand as the majority of the revellers were female. "And we were expecting trouble" our source confirmed. Some even lined drinks up for a late-night drinking session that had neighbours woken as late as 5 a.m.
More details are expected later today, and a preliminary report is being prepared for the, admittedly now discredited*, CPS for Monday.
